Error message when loading:
no CEL environment variable set!
Using alternative 3D driver: crystalspace.graphics3d.opengl
Notes:
I installed and ran the game. I find that the game has a lot of potential (yes i am a newbie). It was very lagy on my system:
system specs:
cable internet
AMD 1600
winxp sp1 (compatiblity mode set to win98/ME)
762 MB RAM
40GB HD
and 64MB geforce 4 video card
Eventually the game crashed while it was raining online. So when I tried to go back to the game I got the message (see Error message above.) The window would just freeze at that screen or the program would shut off. I have ran the updater, so everything is updated please help thanxs.

This is sort of a false message. The way it works is that it will look at the the CEL environment variable to see where it should look for the CEL plugins ( .dll\'s ). Since in the release package they are all in the same dir this is not ( or should not be ) a problem.

Yes, we are fully aware that the performance is not fantastic yet. But that is the price we pay ( and gladly ) when using the Crystal Space engine. We like to think that we push this engine to the max and the CS team is really working hard on their engine, so it is a very good relationship. Things can only get better and faster.
