Hay everyone,
for any of you who know what Magi-Nation is and visit the websites commonly. This is greenhippo.
But for u who don\'t...well...................it\'s time to instruct a newb on how to hang out in this place.

Hi Farsareck, welcome to Planeshift :D
How to hang out? Well, it\'s up to you really, be yourself and join the discussions or assume the role of the character you intend to use in the Planeshift world - different people have different preferences.
What is Magi-Nation???

There is no character generation yet, as there is no game yet ;) At the moment if you wanted to create yourself a character for Planeshift I suppose you need to read through the settings and race information on the main page (http://www.planeshift.it/main_01.html), select a race, inject a personality and just role-play here as that character.
Just have a look around the boards for examples of what others have done - Kendaro and Zaylik are good examples of people who choose to play their characters well in this forum.

I meant rp here. usually there is some kind of character creation rules for rping or at least...written rping.

The role-play board generally has a variety of rules depending on the thread starter, but I think they\'re pretty flexible.
Just have a look at the RP board to get an idea.

this is pretty much a free realm of RP.. no real set of rules to abide by in the creation of your character. all i couold suggest is reading the history, government, and then the races. from that then you could find what race would suit you best then based on your translation of the races or history, build your character.
Also if there are any questions on anything that is publicly written, IE anything on the settings page, feel free to ask me. i will be glad to answer any questions or possibly stear you in the right direction to what the settings are saying.

Thats actually a pretty good idea. I havent heard anyone talking bout having a half breed yet.

no one has done it cause it doesnt exist.. the only half breads in this game are the Ynnwn who are half Diaboli and elf.

ones a cat, the others a fish like creature! Their reproductive organs won\'t allow it!

A cats err... fluid can not react with the fish\'s egg. There for reproduction is out the window as it should be.

and lets say that when humans and elfs mate, the humans Charactists are dominant.
so
Human+Elf=human
Kran Reproduce Asexually i think
Diabloi+Elf= Mixed (niether races characteristics are dominant)
Dwarfs i doubt will mate outside their race
same with Enkidukia and Krylos
Something to the sound of that...

why are the human characteristics dominant. I was tought sh*t about chromosoms and all of that other madness. and there are dominat and regressive ones. so U let\'s say a is a human characteristic and b is an elvish characteristic.
bb=elvish
Bb=elvish
aa=human
Aa=human
Ab=human
Ba=elvish
and on and on like this.
got it??
no doesn\'t matter. I t\'s useless anyway cause they won\'t program DNA. or at least I think?? :P
ps. kendrick ur sig tumbled over might wanna straighten it up. I hope U will cause my neck hurts.

Humans are larger? I don\'t know, I\'m not an expert on this thing, but programing a mix for every race, creating skins, names history and models would take a long time
Theres a term I use some of the time it\'s called KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) Having one race\'s features dominate over the others is simple, easy to learn, and easy to explain
BTW, A *normal* sig isn\'t very tall, I turned him on his side because he is too tall, I could have shrunk him, but he would lose too much detail

and I don\'t think halfbreeds except for ynnwn are possible in the game.
1.)characters aren\'t born right?
2.)I don\'t think sex will be in the game.
3.)crossbreeding is just too hard too program.

yes indeed it is quit tall.... annoyingly so. there is no reason a sig should be that large. sigs are ment to be banner size. it is a shame that your sig is 4 times as big as any of your posts. that is a huge waist of space and sucks up a lot of rescources. it amazes me that no mod has asked you to resize it.

here is a quick little info on Far.
Mom: Klyros
Dad: Enkidukai
Desc. :
General idea of Klyros, but has cat ears. Green fur with black stripes, and has a tail.
Weapon:
1) Double bladed long staff. For u wheel of time fans. think Mat\'s weapon but with a reversed blade on the other end as well.
2) Martial Arts
Abilities:
Fly for one minute. Breathe underwater, but slowed down by fur. Nightvision. Quick.....really quick.

if so I am gonna be strong as a kran quick as an enkidukai(and good in martail arts) can fly like klyros and breathe underwater. do magic like a lemur. and as smart too. and no disadvantages!!! like fragile body structure of a klyros dumbness of an enkidukai and slowness of a kran!!! or weak as a lemur!!

Dream on you 2. Ninkwi I dont think you can do that. far didnt go overboard, he just said hes a half breed. Ninkwi how do u plan to have 6 parents in different races? I dont think that would work. I wont go into details.

there is one simple tyhing you are missing in this... that type of creature does not and will not exist. this isnt a roleplay board where you just build up what ever you want to be. this is a board used for the development of a MMORPG. the only race you will be able to play is one that is listed in the settings page. also the stats are in stone, you cant make up your own characteristics and your own stats.
its all good and well that you have imagined such an interesting character but that just will not be in game. you might want to rethink your character or you will just be dissapointed when the game is playable.

and kyalin that is possible!!!! havin six parents theoreticly speaking. cause U assuming the animals all have the same ammount of chromosoms cause U just divide all chromosoms of each creature trough the ammount of creatures and trows them togeter in one ovum. that sheep dolly (U know the cloned one) has 3 parents and they are all female!!!! soon we don\'t need men anymore cause 2 (or 3) women can get children!!!

Oh and if you wondered Kendaro is the Settings Team [WTB] leader, so thats why he has authority in telling you these things ;). Though I\'d love Half Breeds in the game.
Kendaro: Why not? this game is UNDER DEVELOPMENT! :P How about a stat limit and being able to mix characteristics?
