Title: Crystals?

hey first of all i would like to say this is a great game nad yeah but cant seem to find any crystals, where am i supposed to be looking? and what do they do etc.?

Crystals can be found around town and dungeon. Look in corners, you will find some sooner or later.

Their purpose currently is just to give us something to do in this version.
If you wish you can use them to buy weapons here (http://planeshift.fragnetics.com/merchant). The weapons are just for show now though. :)

I also have the same problem. Perhaps the server should increase the frequency of the spawns based on the number of players . . . 100 000 players require a hell of a lot of crystals... sigh.

There are never 100,000 players online at the same time.
Crystals will most likely be removed from the game in future releases, it\'s just a way to keep people busy.
To control them.

Yes, even everquest with many more accounts has never had even 50% of them online at one time. Just a thought.

I am very interested in the game, and were it is going, but I cannot afford time to search for crystals, so I guess that I will be back when the next alpha come out. The crystals, of course, will soon wear out, and the players will riot revolt if better crowd control is not introduced.

well, as you can see on the server pages (http://planeshift.fragnetics.com/) there always are about 20 people online, so there don\'t have to be that many crystals.

I don\'t get it? How do the crystals work? I think they are only something to do while we wait for the next version.

What do you mean how do they work? You pick \'em up, turn \'em in, get a weapon.  And of course they\'re only to keep us occupied, its the only thing to keep us busy that\'s currently implemented in the game; I\'m glad they implemented the crystal hunt, proves what a smart dev team we have working on this thing.
