Title: Looking for a Guild to Join.
Post by: Antium on November 23, 2003, 07:42:45 pm: Ello, I\'m new! (No shit.) I\'m looking for a guild. I don\'t care about the Alignment. Right now, Im thinkin about the Mercenary Guild. (Fits my style.)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or recommendations?

The Mercenary Guild is always happy to have a new apprentice; if you do decide to join you will be warmly welcomed and treated as a brother in arms. Bear in mind though you are not a true member until you have proved loyalty and commitment, once i am satisfied you have, you will be promoted to an initiate.

To be honest gaining the apprentice-initiate promotion isn?t actually all that hard at the moment, until the game is more developed it?s hard to discern who deserves promotion and who doesn\'t. But to reach any higher rank currently (i.e. before the game is completed enough for us to judge who is the best) requires a lot of loyalty, devotion, and butt kissing :D

P.S. The first to join will be promoted Corporal, not Associate :)

Thank you davis, you mirth fellows are pretty interesting yourself... the gay unicorn thing was maybe a bit ott :D

Edit: oops its a horse... i am not sure if that makes it more or less wierd... I mean the guild concept is great, and you are well established... but what exactly does a horse have to do with mirth? you should have a jesters hat or a lute :P .

well maybe he didnt read the guild site, our alignment is quite clearly there. The point about being a mercenary is you are not fighting for a specific cause or belief, you are fighting for money. And so our alignement is not good or evil.

hehe... well that would be funny...
But guild needs rather charismatic leader, so I think from all of them Auran is best for that position.

I dont think its a good idea to join a guild now. Better wait till CB comes out, to see wich guild is better in action.

Or you could join guild that best fits your character. That could be best decision and that is decision you may make now...

Some guilds dont post much on these forums, but they are active. So, youll never know wich guild is the best for you until you wont see them all in action in-game.

If you find guild that fits you, join. If not, don\'t. Usually you can find out about guild by looking at website or something. No need of waiting for CB, if it has goals close to yours, then you might consider joining it.

Even if then you\'d probably hear something like:
\"Hey you are that weird guy that was following me for the last few weeks! What? No! You can\'t join!\" ;)

At least in CB, later there might be other ways to find out how strong is the guild...
