Title: LESS LAG
Post by: Tarrask on November 30, 2003, 05:17:42 am: I know PS dont lag that much but imagine in a 100 times larger world, 1000 times more players, magic, fighting , etc...

The lag is the Devil and will bring all of us to the eternal pain of hell!!! It makes all the best MMORPG really shitty so PS would be assured to be THE #1 mmorpg in the world with a real low ping (even if i have no doubt he would still be the best with the horriblest lag in the world) .

PlaneShift is currently only in Pre-Alpha stages of development. It is constantly being worked on and improved, and so is the game\'s engine.

The devs knew about the performance issues in PS 2 years ago. They knew about it 1 year ago. They know about it now. They\'ll know about it in the future. But they are always finding ways to optimise the code, eliminate bugs, and ensure the game works on all major OS platforms.

If Talad had a penny for every single time someone came along and said \"OMG so much lag get rid of it!!\", he could pay all the other devs a salary and have enough left over to spend a fortnight in Hawaii. :)
