I was just thinking , is there a roll for entertainer? I\'m thinking it would be a job. I was hoping if you had a character and selected entertainer as a job, you would be able to sing and dance! that just like you can select a spell and cast it as an entertainer you could select a song, music or dance.......I\'m just trying to put something into the game and want to know what you think which is why this is not in wishlist!
Also maybe this would be character class and not job?
Would be great if people could submit music or songs or dance routines to ps!
I don\'t know if this is done anywhere else but if this is roll playing in the real world every one has role played at been movie / pop/ rock star etc, of course the entertainer would be in line with PS world and not Ozzy Osbourne!
Look forward to a beer song!

Well, the best place for this is probably in the wishlist. :)
I\'d love to see dancing in the game. I think the devs are going to animate a variety of emotes at some point in the future. This should definitely be one of them instead of a job (because let\'s face it... everyone can dance, even if they suck at it. ;))

I was hoping for a bit more than just an emote, You could play a harp of flute, maybe you could gain xp in it and as well as sound (music) you could have some kind of abstract visual coming from the character in time with the music, just swirls of light like smoke trails changing color and pattern according to the music! same would go for dancing, of course every one should have a dance emote!
And singing which could be just some pleasant sounds made with a humanlike voice doesn\'t have to be any language or real words. Of course that might put an end to my hopes of a beer song!
you might also use your talent in subduing beasts! claming a great cave bear or troll like creature with music instead of using your mana up with a spell. And maybe if you could do some configuring to get as much different styles!
Does any other game let you sing for your money on a street corner!
I\'d love to see this in game people could really go on stage!

Dexlan: Sounds good. :) The more you dance, the better you could become at it. Not sure about the singing voice... it might be feasable.
I noticed a discussion a little while ago about player voices. It was decided that adding voices to the game would cause too much of an effect on the size of the game. A few sounds for singing, laughing etc shouldn\'t be bad though. :)

pah, game size don\'t matter. Let the voices role in!!!! How much bigger could it be? 100mb? That\'s like 20 min download time.

Hehe no worry,i was always believed that a bard should be in a party.
Imagine a team of paladins crashing in the lichs tower,and as the battle beggins the bard behind them starts to sing an epic song about the battle between good and evil.
And after the victory the bard sits in a rock and starts to compose a song for the great deeds the paladins have done.
In DnD i always play bard.
Last time i was a human bard who traveled with a tribe of orks.
In the way we got attacked by an army of undead.
(Camera zoom in Hehe)me standing on my vagon with 5 orc tribal bards,singing and inspiring the warriors.
What is left for me to say?
BTW i am now listening chaos legion mp3s,they rock.

BAH danceing and singing never intrested me any way
but this is confusing .... how is singing gonna work... ive tired head phones (in cs) and i found out that you can barely make out the voices of your team mates ... one tough case for the ps team to crack if they want to get ppl singing

im a drummer in real life so i will definetly be looking forward to the musician job. they need to have enough jobs so people can get together and play songs as a small band........^^creative^^^

Hehe i had this weird imagination.
A bunch of pcs siting in the tavern,drinking beer,
and all start singing a beer song :)
Then the guards bust in and arrest them all for making too much noise in the night :)

I did not mean for people to be able to sing on line!
You chose a job as entertainer you get to select from say 3 categories Singing music dance, and from these you can select from lists of different songs or dance\'s and so forth
Let?s take singing,
From the list you could select \"the beer song\" :P and activate it.
Your character would then begin to perform the song which is just really an audio/visual effect.
Some kind of prerecorded stuff
The words don\'t even have to be real.
It would be a human sounding noise that?s pleasant to hear, we could say that it is been sung in the old tongue and style or whatever.
But a song in selected just like a magic spell would be selected and then used.
You could gain xp in it and as well as the sound of you singing you could have some kind of abstract visual coming from the character in time with the song maybe an aura would shine from the singing character
get the idea?
chose dance
select which one you wish your character to perform
sit back watch them go (kind of like an elaborate emote)
the more xp they gain the better (more moves?) the dance.
You could do a lot with this subject, i\'m stopping here for now 8)

YOu know if something like this is put in the game (entertainer) I may not take it up myself,
But I will keep posting anything that comes to mind that I think will do PS good and help enhance it.
The post will work if all it does is to inspire some one\'s train of thought to put in what they think would be good and this turns out to be a great feature in PS!
Besides when the games starts to really shape up (remember that it\'s free) would you like every one doing the same thing.
Getting back to the entertainer, this could be just one more something a character could have. Maybe they are not an entertainer but all that?s been said here is available to a character to use. Just added features so that after a group has completed a quest they all get together and party! :D
Just think what fun players could get up to if they had a wide set of features!
Mostly I\'ll be killing monsters gaining power and makin players think i\'m great, but then that would be getting to much like real life for me!!! ;)

Sorry, it was a response to flip2k\'s post. I\'m simply extrapolating from card game preference (as expressed on another thread) to percieved age.
Not that stereotypes are always accurate, but they\'re useful approximations :)
