I thought there where to be no grave yards in Yliakum!

Ducts that have been dug out in the rock are used to dispose of human waste. Larger rubbish and bodies are simply thrown into almost vertical and apparently endless wells. Nobody seems to care about where all of this junk finally ends up, since the stalactite theory is only devised by some Xacha scientists and has not been proven yet. Dead bodies are eliminated the same way. Though discarding dead in such a callous fashion would seem rather shocking, neither of the two main faiths at Yliakum requires particular care nor reverence to dead bodies. To the people here, a body is simply a non-functional apparatus or an empty shell with no soul. However, nothing is ever thrown into the lake.
Well now that i read it again it doesn\'t say that there are no grave yards! Just hope i get a wooden house in PS termites would much prefered to a chomping Kramy!

All this crystals stuff is confusing me... there are 6, 1 for each way right? I think like 7 or 8 have been mentioned now... everyone needs to be more explicit about crystals from now on, like specify which one they are talking about, so it\'s easier to keep track of them.

Not all of the crystals are crystals. For example, one talks to that guy...so I assume it\'s some sort of creature or something. I also noticed that a ruby was referred to as a crystal once...though I\'m not going to bother searching through that entire thread. :D
I agree about being more explicit about which crystals are which.

I\'ll take care of who has the Brown way gem, and Kramy aswell (finally figured out what I was going to write). Ummm y\'all figure out the other two, I don\'t even remember what the 6th way is right now.

Nope, it was stated at the beginning that there are 6 crystals.

hehehh yeah, oops, Azure, Crystal, I was confused too, OK so Moogie has the Crystal Crystal, and Seperot has the Red and... Azure or Blue I guess. And which ever one he doesn\'t have is unaccounted for, or maybe is the one... ummm whatever Auran\'s character took... if he ever reappears somewhere in this.

you may find when you join the 6 crystals in the right pattern that theres a bit missing, a smaller more insignificant crystal to unite them all, earth (brown), air(azure), fire(red), water(blue), Dark(black), Crystal(white) and soul(unknown)
but u may not =) would just be a way to make the story make sense or more in depth if you need too. It would have made more sense for persons to have gone on long tedious quests for the crystals, but seeing as this is your guys first rp thread and ive been too busy to take part i wont crit\' too much =)

Hiya, I need to ask something before I write my next chapter. Who exactly is the Enki dressed in black? Was he/she real? Did it speak to Moogie? Does Moogie know this feline, and if so, who is it?
Or is it just open to imagination? :)

I believe it\'s Tycho...he keeps disappearing and reappearing, being very cryptic, and not helping at all, while in a way helping lots... Hope this post is as helpful as he is. :D
I gather he *somehow* arranged for Moogie to go the wrong way on the path(Moogie is running AWAY from Yliakum right?) which was very helpful to Kramy, who got injured on the way to Yliakum, but now the question is: Which way will they go ?(
Since Tycho tends to stick in shadows, I would assume Moogie thinks he was a dream brought on by extreme fright, nervousness, etc.

Well it\'s anyone you think is interesting. I mean really it\'s Tycho, but he can look and be many things, so to Moogie he may have been an old sage or something. I think I should mention that I said Tycho was believed to be an Enkidukai because that\'s his most frequent form, the one he\'ll use when travelling or in action. However he (or she?) can appear as any gender of any race.
Anyway, I think I was inferring a bit much there... I forgot to write that everyone should be at an Inn now where Tycho had brought the wounded Kran to seek Moogie\'s help... errr... oops.
And does anybody have a better thing to call the brown way crystal... I mean \"brown\"... jeh.
Oh and Tycho\'s intent was to bring Kramy and Moogie together... the other characters/crystals are too fuzzy in their situations right now to start working on. Though if Auran remains inactive I may drag his character back in.

I\'m no good at those emotional speech-filled chapters, so I\'m trying to lead the story in a direction I don\'t end up getting them. :D
Perhaps moogie can handle the encounters. If they reach a tavern/inn though, there would be lots to see, so I can write lots about Kramy observing his surroundings.

Kramy! ;( I didn\'t see your post. My chapter took a whole hour to write out. Do you want me to delete it, or is it ok to take my path in the story?
Also Kramy: You kept referring to the city as Yliakum. Yliakum is actually the world, whereas Hydlaa is the city. ;)

I don\'t, though I would appreciate it if the crystals don\'t corrupt me. :D Being made out of the same stuff and all, maybe I\'m immune or something. Ofcourse, I could still realize that the crystals must be used to protect everyone, which *might* make me Moogie\'s enemy.

Naaa Kramy, you\'re too dumb to be corrupted, since your only ambitions are your next meal ;) . And besides Seperot has 3, one of which is the Dark crystal, which I\'d imagine is the worst for umm.. corrupting and stuff.

my ideas of the crystals was that they were some kind of symboitic(sp) being and they chose their hosts and they did not just chose any one who came across them

Heheheheh... yeah I need some of y\'all to setup the situation a lil\' more, I dun\' really nowhere to go. But I\'m sure I\'ll find something to do once it get\'s going... and just so ya\' know, it will involve bringing Auran\'s character back into this. I dunno if he\'s still paying attention to this thing, but that character is coming back in one way or another soon.
And unless anyone wants to significantly prolong the story, I don\'t think anyone should be leaving the underground until this is all over.

Sorry I havn\'t posted on the story in a while. :( The truth is, I was originally writing the bit about Moogie falling unconcious after healing Seperot as a kind of excuse to stop writing for a while. I havn\'t lost interest in the story, I just lose the will to carry on writing after a while. :( It happened with my own story too.
Anyway, Moogie is quite deeply involved in the storyline... if anyone wants to \'adopt\' her for a while, I\'d be grateful. The story seems to have come to a standstill. :(

Hey, sorry I haven\'t been on for a few days. Been busy.
Seperot: I\'d prefer not to become your evil bodyguard. :D And how would you steal Kramy\'s crystal if it\'s infused in him? I wouldn\'t mind being moogie\'s bodyguard though, since she doesn\'t have a fighting character.
Interesting thing happened. On the way home from skiing I witnessed 3 car accidents within 2 minutes. Very cool, but sucked for everyone in them. :D
Moogie: I get exactly the same thing. Whenever I start a project, I usually stop after a few weeks. I do, however, find that reading books like Harry Potter/Xanth/Hobbit/LOTR gives inspiration and lots of ideas. That\'s why I\'m up till 1 reading every night. :))

First off i near kill you to take the crystal from you then useing a necromacy i give life back to the rock in a undead slave way...plus it turns you againced moogie which is something you need to do anyways......

Seperot didn\'t like the way I RP:d his char, so I changed the ending, meaning that he and Thakaltas has to change their stories a bit as well.

Let me try to understand this.. seperot is having a split-personality disorder, and is powerful, evil, and ruthless when he\'s being controlled by the crystals, while not-quite-so-powerful and a nice guy when he\'s under his own control, right?
And right now, where is he? Away from the city? Is the entire city abandoned minus Kramy stuck in the sewers? For my next entry I\'m going to assume it is abandoned minus kramy in the sewers and the undead marching off to raise hell, if I\'m wrong I\'ll fix it later, but I\'ve got a dark, slightly funny thing in mind to write. 8)
Also, who\'s got control of the dark crystal at the moment? Was that the crystal the shape-shifter guy took at the beginning? Is he even participating anymore?
(once he learns about it my character might be rather interested in getting ahold of it ;-) )
Oh yes.. and there ARE currently hundreds of undead marching out of the city that we\'re going to have to deal with at some point, right?

One more thing.. it\'s ok to make up a magic item like I\'m doing in my latest post, right? :D didn\'t decide what exactly I wanted the staff to be \'till now. Not all that powerful(much to my char\'s dismay), but pretty useful.
Made another reply, no clue where I\'m going other than setting up a personality for my character, hoping to get people to write actively. :D It was getting pretty long so I cut out a bunch after a certain part, will post it later.
If more people don\'t write, I\'ll just keep entertaining myself, you guys would be suprised how long I can keep writing with no aim. :p
Ah, one more thing.. is \'diaboli\' plural for \'diabolo\', or is it always diaboli, or what? It\'s spelled both ways in the character creator is why I ask.

Reading over what I just wrote.. it turned out quite long and nothing got accomplished.. score! At least I think I\'m mostly done introducing my character, now that I\'ve showed a good deal of dark magic and a tiny bit of red magic(made a torch ignite from across the room.. wow! :p), and also described what he looks like
I think that if my character and Kramy were to ever to get together, we\'d accomplish a whole lot of nothing in lots and lots of paragraphs. :D

on another note where seperot and moogie are now is a differnt place where the minds of the people controled by the crystals are. the crystals take on a host and a guardian in this case im the host and moogies the guardian

I\'m going to assume, with my latest post, Kramy has the earth crystal inside of him(?) or at least has the power to get it from somewhere, and the air crystal\'s location is unknown. If somebody has the air crystal corret me and I\'ll fix it. :D Is \'air\' the azure or the crystal one?

this is differnt its no longer seperot who is in control if you read the whole story you whould see that seperot has been takein by the crystals so im allowed the power since its not realy me useing it.
and on another note now that you have the air crystal you are most certen i will find you since i have a bond with them
edit) oh and another thing change your chat with seperot i was trying to save you since i whould normaly just blow you to tiny pieces and acting cocky whould just cause him to blow you up

If it\'s acceptable that by some act of a paniced deity who was afraid of a mortal challenging them, my character got ahold of the last crystal remaining unaccounted for, then seperot wouldn\'t be god-like because while my character couldn\'t defeat him, he could certainly put up a defense against him. :-) I\'ll admit it\'s rather weak but c\'mon, desperate times call for desperate measures. :p
I still think a combination of 3 things: a Diaboli\'s charm, shock factor from seperot not being able to pick up the staff, and another shock factor from having somebody ignore his attempt at intimidation, would\'ve been enough to keep him from destroying my char. :-) But if you still don\'t see it, I suppose I can change it around a bit.
I still want to know which crystal the \'air\' crystal is. My first guess would be the Azure crystal because in-game its description describes it as having mastery over the element of air, but it\'s said early on that seperot already had that crystal. My second would be the \'crystal\' crystal just because \'crystal\' = clear and air would be clear, but the \'crystal\' crystal is healing, and it\'s said moogie had that one, which seperot took. My last guess would be the blue crystal, but it actually has no relation at all to air. Blue = water.
Which is it? :D
The other three options, red brown and dark, are all definately accounted for.

i had a mucho better plan but i wont share it untill its comes you can have the crystal but i Will find you most likely kill you. the power of each crystal has more power then the most powerfull mage since you cast dark magic and seperot has both light and dark crystals you whouled last long. there needs to be a war mass amounts of mages warriors and such to fight the armys of undead and seperot and moogie. one guy holding a air crystal dont stand much of a chance.

edit: also your trying to shock something that has just leveld a city by having a magic staff fall though his hands? i dont think it whold bat an eyelash. and you whould be more then a bit frightend of something that just killed everyone in a city and brought them back as undead and sent them out the slughter the lands dont you?

If I stand no chance to even defend against you, you\'re all-powerful, and I don\'t see a reason to continue writing.
I don\'t like massive armies of characterless people, I like the RP part of RP threads, so I\'ll find somewhere else to write. :-)

hello everyone,
i know im new to this roleplay thread and well planeshift in its entirety, but iwanted to join this roleplay and ive read through everything and have come to the conclusion that my character will become some divine protector of thakaltos (im sorry if thats spelt wrong mate) and basically he could be the guy to end it, or possibly even me but lets see how it goes from my post :D

sounds great mate, tell me where you want them to meet up and ill sort out the rest... maybe you could kill Sengoku, protecting Thak which causes him to throw it, something like that... anyway well see what happens ;)

no one replied so i wrote the next chapter and added my own character....
no snow raven i didnt kill balac.... also now if you really hate me and want me to leave you can just have thak and sengoku kill me or if you dont like them i could just kill them off....or seperot can just kill us all...see it all works out....
sorry i didnt write out the killing, but you get the idea...
Edit-or no one has to die and a couple of us would just be beaten to bloody pulps....though i doubt that\'s the case with swords...plus i have a good idea of what i can do if i die

Well, I read everything, and as Kwartz said somewhere in the first few pages of this thread, the crystals were all achieved way too fast (wich made it pretty obvious that the story won\'t be very long), sep gone way too powerful, and Yliakum is swarming with undead (wich in some of the posts magically turn into skeletons without a prior notice). Since sep is both uber-powerful and have 4/6 of the crystals, it\'s pretty obvious that in a page or two, he\'ll get all of them, turn into a god, and... That\'s it, the story is over, in a pretty uninspiring way.
Or, we could have something in the form of a deus ex machina. Scatter the crystals, fight off the undead (\\skeletons), and try to be a bit more organized, or atleast not cause anything too drastic (like having all the crystals taken by the end of the second page, and turn Yliakum into an undead mess hall :rolleyes: ).
I think, maybe sep should go so fanatic about this whole crystals thing, summon more and more power out of them, and go lunatic (Kwartz said that when the power is summoned by someone, he gets crazy). He\'ll do stuff, wich will eventually leave him without crystals. Auran will give Monketh a task, and lend him his crystal. Monketh will lose it somehow (maybe he\'ll walk in the forest, bump his head in some branch, lose his backpack, and get amnesia... yep, sounds like Monketh :P). I guess Kramy could keep it, since he\'s playing a naive char, and since it\'s kinda fused into him.
I\'m not trying to come over and take over your story guys, just trying to see if it can be steered to a better and more interesting path.

Now, no matter wich way is chosen, I wanna have a few points about Krans and my char:
Krans aren\'t stupid, dumb, unintelligent, or whatever.
I can see how this:

They are not one of most intelligent races of Yliakum, but they tend to be loyal and firm in their beliefs.

But it\'s still wrong.
They may not be one of the most intelligent ones, but it sure doesn\'t mean they\'re anything close to being stupid.
So although Kramy had in a few of his posts stuff that talk about the way \'Krans think\', and made them a stupid race, I don\'t think that this way should be kept.
My char won\'t be stupid, but won\'t be uber-smart, or speaks in riddles, or something. It\'ll be normal.
Just a note so no one will expect anything else.
Enough ranting, I\'ll go think of a way to start my char in this mess :]

i think i heard kwartz mention a soul crystal.....as a seventh one.....i pretended balac had it and stole it too give it too laanx, it occured to me laanx doesnt want competition and isnt really the passivist type but she doesnt want the other crystals because they give her power when they are used...this way no one can be immortal just yet....unless they can beat a god...oh and uhhh i kinda put auran and monketh in the temple too...if they are gonna get anything done they would have to escape from a god.... or just the guards, because a demon twice the size of a human is a little hard to sneak around especially one binded to a wall...i guess auran could fly out of a hole he blew into the ceiling or something-no purpose in the demon holding the crystal if he cant use it to help her....just have laanx give it to someone else or drop it somewhere else saint nuclear could be one of the followers of laanx that scattered them in the first place
but yah the crystals should be rescattered

you missed the other sep..the one with the talad crystal ;) well soon to get talad crystal. i was going for a big end fight with the hero\'s fighting the army of undead and seperot and moogie fighting themselfs. if you like i can continue but im pretty uninspired by this anymore i\'ve got other storys running riot in my head now :P
aslo bear in mind this story was done months ago....you people just brought it back

Pardon, but if you might have read in more detail you would have noticed that:
A) Monk and Auran are on the road.
B) Auran can change form and does so because in his giant demon-form the Azure Sun\'s light hurts him.

i can skip long periods of time... laanx wouldnt want people to stop the usage of crystals....i knew they were just walking to hydlaa from the cult area, i just skipped a couple of parts that cant be filled in from that perspective.... anyway monketh and auran can break out and be closer to seperoth....

Background: Found many times blankly staring into space. Many worry about Roscoh\'s communication with the others. But, his thin, slender body allows the other Enks to teese him. But, when he had enough he ran away from home and swore that he would protect the less fortunate.

Just a small comment Jessyn but I am bringing more people in to defend the catapult users from zombie attack. Also maybe we can create more than one catapult, noe we have more people.
