Title: I wanna start a guild...

Alright. I\'m assuming that this works the same way as back in starcraft, and if i\'m wrong, please correct me.

New guild, join me. Post here if you want to join.

Description-We are a newly formed army that will accept any recruits, reguardless of class/skills. We are going to attempt to take over an area of land, and fortify it for our members. I know this is gonna sound rude but did you check out the other guilds first? Everyone seems to want to start a guild, at least think about joining one thats already set up. But if you cant stomach joining another guild at least try and make it something refreshing and original...

Anyway for info on setting up a guild read the planeshift website, check out the other guilds, and please, please define the aims, goals and hierarchy of your guild. Preferably on a guild website.

Sorry man I am not insulting your guild, but if you want members you really need more than just this thread...  :)

So you want to start a guild.
Take my advice and don\'t just yet. Have a look at the other guild manifestos first. More likely than not you\'ll find what you are looking for. And if you don\'t settle for the closest match. If still you are unsatisfied then think about starting a new one. This way you can be sure your guild is original and you\'ll get enough members :tup:

and no this does not work like starcraft. If you want world domination join the guilds that aim for it. Right now I can only think of the \"Cabal\" but you might not want to join them if you are averse to evil. I think DE also has similar aims (correct me if I am wrong ) and they are much less evil. Plus they are smaller than the Cabal so you might get to higher ranks faster. I don\'t know for sure. Oh and getting into DE might be a problem since they are invitation only. I don\'t think and good or neutral guilds aim at world domination. They are here ,mostly on a tolerance basis.

I was just wondering..If you just start a guild and ask members to join...where do you but all the ranks and names...on the paper??...no its good that you want to make a guild and whos stopping u..but go read at planeshift the rules how to make ur guild official. Simpla advice..make a webpage..thats the start..think something original..think a story...anything that would make members to come...or just see other guilds for ideas or join them and learn something like Luminar said...

Correction Draklar. Just like me, he posted an anouncment of his guild BEFORE he finished the website. You can\'t blame him for the nerve of starting a guild without a website.
