Title: Coins

here\'s some of my ideas on what the coins could look like. I only did the official currency. I didn\'t draw non-official currency. Sorry they aren\'t high quality but you can still see what they look like. If you got good pics of what you believe the coins should look like, post, I like to see!

i think all of the currency should be transparent as ylaikum (whatever) is based around the giant crystal. just about everything in planeshift should resonate \"crystal\" heck we\'ve even got the update nicknames in that scheme. that being said your pics look great, but i do hope someone takes the time and effort to make some high quality ones in photoshop or 3d max if possible. :)

I think it would be wise not to go overboard on the \"crystal\" theme... after all, life on earth is supported by the sun, and do we make everything out of burning hot plasma? Noooooooo....

A diverse world is an interesting one, and I get the impression that that\'s what the PS devs want to create.

No problem here with the currency being crystal.  It was the suggestion that everything should be somehow crystal-related that concerned me.  

Just a thought though - crystals that are flat like coins are rather strange.  Would it not make sense to have more elongated crystals? (almost like small rods, to be used as currency)

The crystals digged out  in the mines doesnt look like the money. They were formed to trias, hexas. think of it as similar to the silicium waver production  nowadays.

The people mine crystals,  melt/solve them, recrystallize as huge crystals, then cut them in disks. ( done with physics/chemics or an aquivalent magical process)

Whemy: Boonet is leader of the 3D team I believe. He\'s usually in the dev IRC room... but catching him when he\'s not at lunch is one hell of a task. :D The longest time I\'ve seen him at lunch for is 5 days... 8o

if it\'s really a leaf, i would suggest putting a stem to it, so it won\'t be confuzed with a trilobyte anymore ;)
