Currently in Biology, we are studying the process of evolution, which through time makes a species more adapted to their enviroment. Since this game will be \"ever evolving\", why not add in the feature that monsters can evolve? Like, a certain group of monsters are spred evenly among the land. Some of them live in hot, dry conditions, like a desert, and adapt skills and resistances such as resistance to fire magic(or whatever). Or, if a group lived near a body of water, then they their limbs can adapt so they can swim, or at least be able to hide in the water, presenting the idea of ambushes. So, as you travel through the land, you\'ll always encounter different creatures depending on the enviroment
Another idea I have is weapon aging. In games like Diablo, your weapon needs to be repaired if you use it alot. But my idea of weapon aging, is that all your weapons age, and need to be repaired/restored if you want to use them. Over time, a swords blade gets more dull(unless its magical)so you have to sharpen it. So maybe you can buy items like whetstones so when your weapons get dull, you can sharpen them again.
Will there be player built stores? Like in Star Wars Galaxies, players can have stores where they craft items and put them in a vendor(I\'m not sure if thats how it works because i dont play star wars galaxies). So maybe if your not a builder, you can rent space in a building and use that to sell your goods or crafted items.
Is there any chance that you can switch to 3rd person? I\'ve played Morrowind, and i didn\'t really like the 1st person experience...
I guess that\'s all i have in mind right now, please read over it and tell me what you think.

Well yes, u can go to 3rd person.
hmm, I like the idea of evolution in races. Maybe once every year or so the races got a slight upgrade in summin...or even downgrade... :D Weapons needing repairs is going to be put in the game, the same thing goes for armour. and I\'m not sure about the stores, I havn\'t a clue. :P

well weapons will age and the same with armor. thats some thing the devs have announced (dont exactly remember where though... might of been high at the time... not that i get high..) 2ndly i think that a script for monsters evolving would be a huge script and almost impossible for believable effect. I mean scientist are actually working on a realistic one in the works for 20 years so the devs creating one in 2 months is a little much to ask. i think our best bet on this is letting the devs add major stuff every year. this way they could work out bugs and hacks and all that good stuff and have a side project to work on and then release it yearly. they could even have votes on what we want to see in the game as far as addons to units and all that good stuff. but really all of this has been said already so its not like anything im saying is groundbreaking or what ever.
-
i didn\'t mean for them to code it in 2 months...but maybe they could just alter monsters that lived in different areas, i dont really want to push too hard on that idea since crystal blues comin out...maybe later they could add that kind of stuff in.
-
all im saying is making a script for it is too much work when the devs could do it thier self in half the time. good idea though.. would make very interesting game play... :)

about the \'evolving\' idea: I don\'t see any point in doing that... If creature lives on some desert then devs obviously will make it resistant to heat at the start.
So, as you travel through the land, you\'ll always encounter different creatures depending on the enviroment
you\'ll probably do that without this idea...
