Wouldn\'t it be nice and convenient if we had a current server status bar/box/.../ somewhere on the mainpage of the forum?
-
That is a really good idea. This way we won\'t have 20 people crying about how they can\'t connect and 40 other people asking constantly if the server is down.
-
I agree, that would be a nice thing to have. Newcomers to the game couldn\'t possibly know to go to http://planeshift.fragnetics.com to check the server status, so I think it should be visible in a place they\'re actually likely to visit, such as these forums or the main PS website.

Like the one in my sig?
-
I had to turn sigs on to see that. Just wondering how it generates that image?
-
I agree with this. The Server Status should ideally be located somewhere on the main PlaneShift site as well. After all it\'s just a few lines of code. Not many people seem to know where to look when the server goes offline/down. The more places the status of the server can be accessed the better... IRC, JPEGs, Websites, anywhere.
Nice sig!

Seems our request was heard. Thanks! :)

Really cool addition

I did it myself **PROUD**
It\'s PHP and a home-made HTML filter
You can have the sourcecode if you want
-
Great! You\'ve done it. :D Maybe, just maybe(seeing how much space is left) we could have also the server address(and/or IP).
edit: like Androgos\'s new sig
-
lol, I keep getting two different numbers from your sig, commando, and the top bar in the forum :P
-
It isnt auto updating, the top bar loads faster, but my image takes a while..
-
Thanks, this will be very useful to everyone. :)
-
yuh, good idea. :D

now i can just check here to see when everybody\'s gone and i can go crystal hunting :))
