Title: First time logging in, PS locks up and crashes

Whenever I try to login (i havent played before) It says initializing world, then the music plays pausingly, like a broken up cell phone connection but it continues from where it left off each time. So its like (two notes)(pause)(a split second of this uber L337 music)(dramatically long pause)(repeat) and the screen turns white. after a while it will eventually just quit out. I\'ve tried running in compatibility mode but the same thing occurs. tried safe mode, same.

dunno but i\'ll be back tomorrow, gotta go to bed for my mom\'s wedding tomorrow =] so i\'ll be back. PS looks good, (way better than runescape even tho rs is fun) and the music is fabulous. Anyway, cya

Can you please give us details about your computer specs? I\'d bet you\'re lacking RAM.

he was in the irc channel yesterday. the problem is your video card, an onboard card just won\'t do it..

well... i guess i gotta spend some moolah on a vid card... actually this comp is shared and im gunu move shortly, i have an old compaq that sux but my stepdad who im gona be moving in with has a pent II with a geforce or soemthing, d2x runs great, so does AOE, wondering if steam will.... dunno if any of you play half-life or its mods.... but i cant wait to go up on weekendz, but he dont got internet yet.... o well i guess i\'ll just have to live with runescape ^_^

Ya, I am having same problem I downloaded Ps today and went to connect and it stops at initinlizing world and shuts down PS what do i do helllllllp mee!!

Yea, mine crashes when it says intializing world also...

OS: Windows XP
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2.8 gigaherds
Ram: 512 DDR SDRAM at 33MHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX Integrated GPU
Video Card Memory: 64 MB
