Is your CRYSTAL environment var set?
Im, using Gentoo, any idea what to do?

-
Set the CEL variable right.
-
And how to do this?
-
I guess i made it :-).
-
export CEL=path/to/cel
-
by the way, what is this \"cel\"?
-
CS entity layer. CS=Crystal Space.
-
For one problem to another, still can\'t run game in opengl mode, this time im geting this:
bash-2.05b# ./psclient -verbose

WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.graphics3d.opengl\'
aws-debug: Couldn\'t find iGraphics2D plugin!!
psclient: No 3d driver (iGraphics3D) plugin!
i guess patch to my ced isn\'t correct too, (typed EXPORT CEL=/usr/bin/cel.cex)
-
Yes, the drivers must be tippy-top.
I didn\'t even bother installing them(radeon), it runs smoothly on software mode for me! :)
-
I haven\'t play yet, serveres seems to be down :(.
-
Not anymore. :))
-
Allright, what drivers should i install to run this in opengl mode? I\'ve nvidia drivers instaled. Unfortuneatly in software mode game doesn\'t runs smoothly at all on my box.
-
I\'d check the Linux FAQ and How-to threads, maybe someone had the same problems.
But you must know, the game may not run smoothly anyway, CS was flawed then.
-
Actually morrowind with winex runs much smoothler :P. There are more people witch had same problem, but it doesn\'t seems they solved it.
-
If you installed the game with gentoo, you must launch it with:
/usr/games/bin/planeshift
For the record, here\'s its content:
#!/bin/sh
export CRYSTAL=/opt/crystal
export CEL=/opt/crystal
cd /opt/planeshift
exec ./psclient ${@}
Note that it won\'t be accessible as root user by default, anyway it\'s a bad idea to do anything as root (but maintenance tasks of course).
-
Didn\'t help, same errors...
-
Finely fixed this problem - compiled with out support for opengl, now everything works fine :). But now i can not connect, it says: you are likndead, check forum for possible reasons....HELP?
-
