I read that history thingie and there\'s one thing I can\'t figure out...
At the first part Laanx is a she but after she\'s mutilated Laanx is a he...
So what does this mean?
a) Mistake
b) Gods in this game are neither male or female
c) All pretty things are female and all ugly things are male (that really doesn\'t always go...)
d) Other

you might want to contact kendaro on this one.
-
:D Interesting :D
-
Gods can assume any form. Laanx was once a kind and peaceful god*female*, when she put on the mask (or what ever it was) to hide her face she became angry, selfish, and power-hungry *male*
-
Are you saying males are bad?Nah, I\'m just playing. I didn\'t notice that when I read it..
-
I did notice that when I read it, but I understood it in the way that Kendrick mentioned. And Xylpher is right about one thing: In most mythologys (did i say that right?) we will find out that beauty is, in most cases, represented by a godess, and most dark gods are male.

Ok. Laanx starts off as a women god. She then goes undeground with Talad to found a new Nation/ Civilization type thing.
How Laanx became a man- type faceless and ugly person:
First Laanx create\'s it\'s people:
ancient Vod?l and he taught her that the energy of the crystal could be used to create life. She wanted to make happy Talad, that was more restless and more suffering from the wait more then she was. She drew the incommensurable power of the azure crystal as much as she can and mimicked the rituals of the ancient gods of the surface to give life to some creatures reproducing her shape, but she did not tell anything to Talad because she wanted to surprise and amaze him. The new people grew up and reproduced, and they were nice looking and had a quiet behavior, like their creator, and they called themselves \"Lemurs\".
Then Talad becomes aware of Laanx\'s people, and he becomes upset etc. cause she has her people and he does not. So he tries to create his own, but hits Laanx\'s face and Creates Kran.
When Talad discovered this creation, he was surprised and astonished, but he was also saddened because Laanx had her people and he did not, even if she were saying that she created them for both. He got the power from the crystal too, going even farther of what Laanx dared. She, looking at this, thought that Vod?l taught Talad the secret of the energy and let him work, because she trusted him and she did not want him to be sad. But she was wrong and when Talad, imbued with the power, came close to her to create the first creature of his people, a tempest of chaos went out from the god\'s hands and it hit Laanx on her face, penetrating deeply into her body and she became forever disfigured. A new people came out from the rocks thanks to Talad, and they called themselves \"Kran\", but Laanx was not beautiful anymore and she fell down into a deep desperation that shattered her heart as a mirror. Careless of Talad\'s pain, she denied her being, her femininity, her people, and drove away the harmony from her heart. She retired to wander in the Stone Labyrinths, and many lemurs went with her. She dressed a thick red tunic and shaped a mask without features to stifle her disablement and wrote the Book of Names because, even if she was confused and her mind distraught, she did not forget her desire to be worshipped by the people. Hence Laanx, the masquerade god, wild and inflexible, began to think about what happened.
so its a mistake :),
Glad I could help,

I just figured they\'d left out the part where she found the Cosmic Gender Bender.
-
Dang it all.... I had just written a huge statement on this and it got eaten due to a dang bug.
Basicly IT IS NOT A MISTAKE!
Gods have no genders. Only repersentations of their emotions and feelings. Laanx startted as a soft tender harmonius loving godess and is now a chaotic, power hungry, vengful, twisted masked god.
