total polygon count of the picture is around 700.

Feedback is welcome :)

I wonder who left an axe in the woods...

that is very nice stuff if you made it yourself.  did you skin it yourself as well?

Yes, everything done by me, model, textures, skinning.

and of course rendering. :)

Those are beautiful. Good work on getting the polycount so low, too, for such detailed works. :) The texturing is lovely too. Ever thought of joining the PS Devs\' IRC channel and having a little chat with Talad...? ;)

Looks damn good for low-poly models. Keep it up, maybe you could contribute to the PS project? ;)

Thanks for the comments, actually I sent a mail about contributing stuff to the PS... :)

Here\'s little more i just finished, nothing too fancy, mostly edited the same models to make them look bit different.

Wow that\'s great. Nice fantasy style and such.

It may be alittle hard to join the dev team if you only can show items, but you\'ve probebly sent some more images in the mail.
I\'ll be sure to point Djagg to this thread if he hasn\'t seen it already.

The modeling is really good, and I love the design as well.
Keep up the good work! :)

Hmm, it\'s an interesting work.

Seems you have a good feeling about things.
The things I see that can be improved:
You are doing lot of error in your texture. When you make something in metal, the highlight are affecting the whole blade, and so they are not irregular and ponctual.
Always remember how the light is affecting an object to have the right material.

Also your handle (on sword the top one) are too dirt. You can\'t just put a texture on it, especially that strong.
Try to find some symbol and relief on it.

And finally work on the transition from handle to blade. A simple shadow can give lot of volume to your blade and more realism.

If you want to apply for the team. Please, mail me at:

I\'m temporary 3D leader as Boonet is super-busy these days.

We have more than enough weapons. But there are still some needed items.
So let\'s see! ;)

You\'re right and wrong. :)

First of all, i know those textures mostly suck, coz they were done in 5 minutes / model.

But about the blades and metal... I\'ve actually seen few real swords with long edges, and they had this \"burned\" metal look on them, except for the sharpened edges. so they were mostly black / plain gray, not shiny from the middle.

Though you\'re right that they should atleast be regular, not bumpy like that, IF the blades are not bumpy :)

I mean everything is about how straight the blade is... If you know what i mean.

Anyway, thanks for the comments, I\'ll send u mail about the stuff.
