Title: Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen
Post by: Jacer on January 14, 2004, 05:32:31 pm

I have stumbled upon Planeshift just the other day, reading the website, and studying the boards, and now I\'m sitting at work, biting my nails to get over with it (maybe I should work more and read less) , to get home and install Planeshift.

I have been playing around with CrystalSpace a couple of years ago, and got addicted on MMORPGs the last one and a half year playing DAoC very intensely.

I embrace the idea of making an Open Source MMORPG, and thank you in advance for the work and dedication put into Planeshift.

I hope to see you ingame,

Jacer

Welcome to PS Jacer.  You\'ll have plenty to occupy yourself with the game and the boards.  The game is very small right now and riddled with bugs, but we expect the next version to come out soon.  In the meantime feel free to browse through the forums and meet new people.

My first civil welcome...

Welcome to the community, Jacer. :) I hope you have lots of fun here and stick around. It\'s a welcome change to read about a new player who has really done his homework before diving straight in, inevitably with the same questions we hear (and have answered) countless times before.

If you do however have any questions, you\'re welcome to read our Technical Help and Newbie areas to see if the answer has already been given. If not, just ask. :)

Welcome To PlaneShift, Jacer.

There isn\'t much to do in the current version of the game, but if you\'re interested in seeing how it works with CS you could of course download it.
The next version, name Crystal Blue, will be released in about 2 months, It will have many more things then you can see now, but you could check the forums and the website for that.
Title: welcome

Thank you for the kind welcome.

I had yesterday the opportunity to walk a couple of steps, staring wide-eyed at the huge temple, and desperately trying to find the tavern. I\'ve already found 2 Ruby crystals :) not exactly rich, but it is a start ;)
But if Thorian tells me another \"Huh?\", there might probably something bad happening

Actually, I found that most of the questions that crossed my mind are already answered either here or in the player guide - or most important, Moguras Top 44 Newbie Questions ;)

I just have to get used to the controls ... already started to modify keys.xml ;)

Just one thing bothers me:
I have run into typical problems with logging in for the first time, as described in the Technical Help Section - which solved the problem for me, anyway ...
But now there are at least 2 accounts created with no character, doomed to rest forever in the depths of the database. Is that a bad thing? - is there anything I can do about it?

cya ingame,

Jacer

P.S.: Ok, reading helps - question solved *g*
