Mayb it would be cool if characters could own NPG servents and even NPG soldiers... In that way a powerful char with a lot of money can really become powerfull.. I hope on this way the castles can give a real important task in the game to, like controlling a much used road or something...
ok i stole the idea a bit of swg but what the heck it would own, if its possible;)

Do you mean NPC? Or is NPG another word?
-
soz type errors:P i mean non player characters yes, NPC:)
-
So you mean, You hire/buy a army and control them to attack a enemy\'s castle?
-
somethin like that yes.. or just a buttler or some guy helping you in your shop such things, but indeed also you can hire or buy an army:p

It would be cool, some RTS things in a mmorpg :D
Idea: Everbody has a home ( House, castle, Scrapheap etc)
Maybe you could use the house as a bank but if someone captures your castle with a hired army and you didnt have good defence, you lost the items that was in your home...

First off, this is essentially PvP combat, except the Players don\'t face each other in 1v1 combat. Instead, they are using 1v1 combat, except with armies. Perhaps such things could be allowed in Guild Wars, but otherwise... No. I think.

As for thsi idea, I like it. Perhaps you could also capture enemy units and keep them captive, and they may or may not become your retainer after a while. (Thread is here (http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=5645&boardid=11)). Also, perhaps there could be a limit as to how powerful someone can be, otherwise the whole game turn into armed clashes between very powerful \"lords\" that want more power. The limit could be a certain number of retainers, or how much money you can have to pay others, etc.

idd idd, i was thinkin about arming your castle with a small army of soldiers so you can controll a road or somethin, and do little attacks with your small army
you\'re right it should not become to big just enough to make a small assault and to keep 1 or 2 castles armed for protection and terrain controll
