Title: Player Races
Post by: Ald'Amun Dungeonrunner on January 28, 2004, 09:51:51 pm: I was just wondering what race everyone is going to play when cb comes out...are they adding new races with cb, well if not what race you\'ll be when all of them are playable...

I\'m just wondering how varied the players are going to be....hoping everyone isn\'t playing enkidukai or something...

I\'m playing klyros in case someone was wondering...

In every game, no matter what it is, i ALWAYS (if i can) pick a full on mage with pets.....bcoz...

Male lemur. Mage of the red way, maybe some of the other ways too, and a little short sword skills.

Hehe it sounds like you know exactly what you want. For me I really just have a faint outline of a diaboli animal trainer. maybe a bit of short sword depending on what kind of combat there is in game. In some games like morrowind the short sword can attack so often that your enemies never have the chance to hit you. But in games like never winter they are reserved for halflings and the such, and dont do much damage and overall are quite useless..

Whenever you hear wolves howling you will know I am around somewhere. Of course with animal tamer job I am probably going to have to tame something like a rabbit first though... Specialize in brown/blue magic. Think I will stick with my enkidukai or go for one of the humans... I can hear it now:

Post by: Golbez on February 04, 2004, 11:03:55 pm: Being a lover of anthropomorphous races, particularly feline ones, there is no doubt that I shall be playing an Enkidukai. His personality and set of skills have long been defined, and are quite related with his past.

However, it could all change depending on the implementations (or lack of) of certain features. So we\'ll see. So far, his rough sketch is like this:

Golbez is an apricot furred Enkidukai, jet-black stripes adorning his appearance. A pair of amber eyes, usually lacking in expressiveness, stand out from his otherwise forgettable features.

Diminute in size, barely reaching the fifth foot, his build is compact and sinewy, usually concealed beneath a dark cloak that is arguably too big for his complexion.

Ambidexterous, capable of skillfully wielding a pair of short blades and mildly average in unarmed combat. When not protected by flexible light armor, he tends to face his foes with no protection whatsoever, relying primarily on his reflexes and speed.

Somewhat inclined to use a more anonymous, stealthy approach (Although not excelling at that), he nevertheless enjoys a more honourable and equal encounter. His decision depends on the reasons behind the attack, and admittedly, on his mood.

Completely despising the magic arts for a past experience that may never cease to haunt him, and even fearing these mystic ways, although he quite successfully hides such sentiments. He swore never to immerse himself in these arcane studies. Not dressing in flamboyant outfits, but preferring humble clothing, his habits and introvert personality contrast with a particular etiquette in his speech, considered to be exceedingly polite judging by the Enkidukais\' standards.

And just as a possible, perhaps far fetched trait, he would possess the ability of rapidly healing his physical wounds. (I cannot recall if a faster healing rate trait was present in the character creation)

So yes, you could say I know what I am looking for ;) If the concept would actually implement well in the system, we shall only know when it is time to play the game, no?

Oh and, yep. The descriptions for my characters are always long. Consider this a very, very, very short version.

though i may just stick with the male Ynnwn (how do u pronounce that?) that i already made he\'s got a cool name

with the ynnwn i\'ll do a swordsman with a bit of magic prolly and if i do the klyros i\'ll prolly do daggers or some other small arm and a lot of magic
