Title: What level out of the 8 will you call home?
Post by: Umpapa on January 30, 2004, 11:45:28 pm: plain and simple. If they offer us the ability to build anywhere... where would you build your characters home?

I think I still like the idea of level 1. seems larger and warmer.

Post by: Kixie on January 30, 2004, 11:48:13 pm: umpapa you cant really say anything about that kinda thing at this point. who knows what the levels will look like or feel like or anything. theres only one CITY. so well just have to wait untill most of us can make that descision. but based on the fact that the first level will be the place everyone starts at IE spawn point. i think that i would go as low as possible to get rid of all the noobs.

Bah, noone knows for sure; maybe hugging the Azure Sun grants amazing powers to those brave enough to give it a hug? Seems like the perfect disguise to me...

Of course, it would be very difficult to get close enough to actually hug it; if I remember correctly, the radiation is powerful enough to disassociate matter at 12 paces...

Hmm Looking at the map more closely.. I think I will have to change my mind.. I will have to build and move into a very large home next to a stream. This way I can design a large Water will and use it to power the billows that will feed the forge that I will be working at constantly.

My home will probebly be level 4.
It depeneds mainly on accesibility. If it\'s not too much of a problem to go every day up and down the stairs every day, and if there will be services close by (e.g. merchants, smithy, etc).

Btw, all you guys that say they want to live in the lowest levels, don\'t forget that both the 8th and 7th levels are usually submerged. So unless you can breathe underwater, it might be a bad idea to live there...

This may imply that there would be ?non-Permenet Houses? that you can buy / Rent from NPCs & other Pople, but I am not sure? I think we should be able to build are own house eventually, but this may make the world become cluttered, so already made property would be better, & easyer to impliment.

I realy hope we can Buy / Rent (/ Build) Houses of are own!

Post by: Electrokah on July 06, 2005, 01:24:19 am: If the house building system is good and i have the money and/or materials i will most likely set up a well defended house with walls around it and maybe guardian pets that respawn or even a small fortress, the location would either be in a jungle or a forest, maybe close to a town or city perferably near a water source such as a natural spring or river, its got to be clean clear water though, and i will use the house for storage, display, chilling out, or whatever i see fit...

Probably a day travel from the nearest city, so I can work in peace, but I don\'t have to travel too much to find good materials for my weapons, as it would be a waste of time that could be used researching newer smithing techniques. Still not sure if I want an isolated house, or life in a small village, I would appreciate the presence of a nearby pub.
