Title: New guild: Cutting Edge
Post by: Phinehas on January 31, 2004, 01:20:52 pm: Well, I\'ve finally done it. The guild site is up and running and ready to recruit.

Cutting Edge is a neutral-lawful guild. Our main goal is to look after ourselves, just like any other neutral guild. However, we do this by involving ourselves. Instead of cutting ourselves off and slowly working our way up the ladder all alone, we intend to take an active part in the life of Planeshift. Maintaining balance is our thing, but, of course, a balance that is ultimately beneficial to us.

Btw.. on your forum, the guild section is not private hidden... you might want to make it hidden so that other guilds can\'t read them.

You already have a decent looking site(You might want to change your forum colors though, blue+brown isn\'t the best combination possible :P) and a good ranking system(although it does kinda reminds me to some other guild:rolleyes: ). All you need to do now is get yourself some good members. :)

About the allignment, I think Draklar is right, maybe it should better be neutral good? (please don\'t start a complete allignment discussion now :P)

Awww... it\'s sad that you\'d feel so nervous just starting a guild. But with the reception that many new guilds here receive, I\'m not suprised. People just take it a little too seriously and are quick to say \"you\'re not gonna last 5 seconds without a website, goals, aims, ranks, history...!!\" Yadda yadda. :P

Good luck to you and the guild, and try not to worry too much about what other people say here. :)

I can\'t believe you all thought it was great, I didn\'t think it was that good. Anyway, as far as the forum colors go, you\'re right, it was in a transitional stage and all of a sudden I had to leave, I\'ll fix it. As for the ranking, like I mentioned in my first page, I didn\'t take anyone\'s ideas, they\'re all mine. That doesn\'t mean they\'re unique, but I didn\'t steal \'em. As for the alignment, I\'m still thinking about that.

lawful-good would however fight against evil king, actually lawful-good are fanatics about fighting for good...

Exactly. Our job is not to seek out evil guilds and destroy them, nor is it to take over the world. We are simple maintainers of balance. If good guilds are attacking evil ones for no other reason than that they are evil, we interfere. We take no sides except for what we see as necessary to maintain balance.

After 3 days I was talking with my bro about it and he\'s like, \"You mean cutting edge?\" lol Anyway, think about it, it makes sense. Not only does it sound cool(I think), but it gives you a sense of danger, and also is a synonym of \"elite\".

I see my job as reading the day\'s to do list posted by Phinehas, gather a squad and then start bashing left and right. Yeah, I like to fight. ;)

As for the evil guilds out there I have nothing with them because Phinehas didn\'t say any guild it\'s evil. Anyway I don\'t like to fight idiotic jerks (yeah Xordan, it\'s about you :) ), but if I have to I will.

And for the government part there is no government in Planeshift yet, but we will enforce the balance, the balance that we like.
