I\'ve been reading through the whole technical problems faq, and nothing has answered my question- or i may have missed it coincidentally dozens and dozens of times.
I listened to the instructions about waiting for planeshift to load when \"Initializing World\" after about 1 hour it said \"error\" then returned to the main menu. Im really looking forward to the game, please help!

Could you post your computer specs for us please?
-
Windows Millenium
Pentium 4
128 RAM (i know that isnt good)
GeForce 2 MX
that\'s about all I know, I dont know how to check.. -_-\"
-
128MB is too little for PlaneShift
Also, post your clock freqenzy (donno how to spell it :P).
Right click on \"My Computer\" and choose Properties. It should be writen there. (GHz or MHz)
And. Windows ME is M$ worst windows ever
-
yea, loads\'o people have told me that windows Me is the worst... but itz not my money.
I already went to the my computer properties but it doesnt seem to have the GHz or MHz.. *sigh*
-
With 128 Mb of RAM only some systems will run PS and slowly at that. (I\'m one of the lucky ones).
As for finding your Processors clock speed, it tells it you when you turn your computer on during the BIOS screens.
I\'ve also heard a lot of people slag off Windows ME but it doesn\'t seem any worse than 98 was. I think the best Windows OS you can use at the moment is probably Windows 2000 Professional as if you keep your system maintained it seems to be rock solid. (We use this on most of the PC\'s where I work, although there\'s a couple of old NT box\'s and a lot of Solaris Unix Workstations)

ok the game is working on my desktop.. [the windows Me] but right now as u can guess from the poor video card and memory... i have low resources and the game doesnt run very smoothly.. i get loaded with lag every single second.. i cant move without stopping for 10 seconds.
So, i\'ve tried to install the game onto my XP laptop.. which should in theory work better :P.. Problem now, when i try to log in it says something like:
\"The Server is unreachable please contact the forums for help\"...- something along those lines
-
try using the server ip instead of the URI.
Also ensure that the firewall (if there\'s any, like the XP one) lets UDP packets pass through port 13331 (if i remember correctly)
-
and.. how might i do that?... (sorry for being n00b of the century) :S
-
Don\'t worry, we had worse :D
Replace planeshift.fragnetics.com in the server filed with 203.81.47.74
