yeah. mmorpgs are on the decline. we\'ll see their prices go up a little after all the sequels come out, then work their way down until they\'re all free.

by \'they\'re all free\' you mean \'most of them are cancelled\' right?

I think mmorpgs are on the decline because of recent technology. recent technology is starting to make offline games more realistic. Such as first person view goggles. And all kinds of things that imerse you into the game. I think that this will make offlines games the kings for quite sometimes. Then as technology progresses further technology will allow MMORPGs to become just as advanced and mmorpgs will be the kings again. People will love the feeling of realism of an offline game and the feeling of community in an online game.

It is a competitive field and it is tough to make a name for yourself. Once processor and internet speeds become faster and cheaper, MMO\'s will grow again.
Another problem is actually the players, all different types of people want to play the game, from PKers to Spammers, to people who want the actual RP experience. It is hard to fit all those elements into the game, while maintaining speed and quality.
