Post by: GUImember on February 29, 2004, 05:43:17 pm
I have started a group called the Guild of Underground Informants (GUI). It is by invite only and members will not be aware to the public. Other guild information is confedential. I wish you all luck.

Um, who will join a guild they know nothing about?

Anyway, yes, I came in here expecting a completely different topic...

Most people, I belive, Will think that GUI stands for what it should stand for.

GUI = Graphical User Interface

When I went here, I thought it was some \"wishlist\" post :P

Anyway, good luck...
A hint: Give more information about what alignment your guild have, what mission and such.

Well, I doubt the user who posted this thread has the in-game name \"GUImember\" :D So that keeps them safe from /who...

But answer me this, mysterious GUImember - if someone you invite says \"no\", won\'t that give you away?

Yes, but unless I do what I did just now to hide my identity, that wont happen.

The weather is fine.

The /who command is not a problem, there will be a command to make a guild secret.
Kudos Yann for that.

A quick and dirty site that will be dramatically improved later.

Let\'s see how this works.

You know there is somebody with information you want. You invite them. This announcement and site gives assurance that you are established as a guild, or at least an organization.

Person thinking about the giving away thing, this is exactly why there\'s an announcement; so there\'s nothing to give away.

So this is like Cabal would be like if you took out the traitors and vision?

Strikes me that it\'s more like a more secretive Mercenary guild. It needs a lot of work, but good luck.
