Title: The Arcane Order - Phase Three

The Arcane Order is the biggest mages guild in yliakum, we currently have a total of 16 active members, and many more are waiting to get accepted. If you want to join our guild, read through this thread and visit our website (http://www.arcaneorder.com/), after that we require each member to come to our IRC channel to have a talk with some of the councilmembers(read our pages for more information).

We recently went through a lot of changes, so I think it\'s time for a new thread. Our other phase 3 thread didn\'t have much info, and was full of spam so I asked it to be deleted a while back..

The most important changes we made was the promotion of active members and the putting into probation of inactive members. We now have a fully active council again as Wolfmane(Illyria) and Mati(Longraider) have been put into probation. Morgus will replace Wolfmane at least untill he returns from his inactivity and I replace Mati.

The Arcane Order has 6 councilmembers, one for each school of magic in Yliakum, the current councilmembers are:

Morgus Charfault - Beholder of the Truth

Gilea the Blue - Seer of the Seas

Druke the Brown - Master of Earth

Axsyrus the Azure - Ruler of the Winds

Ave the Red - Master of Flames

Malentor the Dark - Master Necromancer



We have also renamed our ranks as there was a bit of discussion about them, the warlock branch has been renamed to the loremaster branch, silver nightblade has been renamed to mystic nightblade and dark loremaster is now high loremaster.

There are three branches in the arcane order, they have been partially renamed and are now like this:
Just like before, the arcanes are at the top of each rank. Since Morgus was our previous arcane loremaster and I was the arcane nightblade we have now promoted other members to these ranks. Elscouta is now our Arcane LoreMaster and SnowWolf is our Arcane SpellSword. we haven\'t found a Arcane NightBlade yet though, but we\'re sure one of our members will be ready to take this task when the time comes.

Our promotion system also slightly changed. Like before you join the guild as an apprentice and go through a period of getting to know the guild and the members before you will get promoted to the adept rank. However, we now require a bigger role for our arcane members in the promotions from adept to higher. If one wants to be promoted from adept to loremaster for example, he will need one of the councilmembers to propose his promotion. But unlike before, not only the councilmembers have to vote, the most important vote is for the arcane loremaster(Elscouta). If he doesn\'t fully agrees with the promotion, nothing will happen. For the promotions to another rank higher we even require the arcanes to propose the promotion, the member also needs 5 councilmembers to vote for his promotion unlike 4 before. We hope this will increase the interaction between the different ranked members of our guild and make sure the members get to know their leaders well.

Yay, I was wondering when u were gonna say about the new ranks. :D

So people have gotta be inquisited by Morgus now?? (Don\'t do it!! It\'s not worth it!! U\'ll be scarred for life!)

Anyway, same as usual, u\'r looking good. :D The new council seems very strong.  :))

If you\'re really looking to join us there are only a couple things you really need to do to get started....

-Read through the library
-Join our Forums
-Come visit our Channel

...and in that order too! :P If you decide the AO isn\'t for you, I\'d still recommend reading through our library and visiting our channel - especially if you\'re new to PS - go around and read through all the guild histories - there\'s a lot of interesting stuff out there!

As the ^laanx^ stat bot in #planeshift @ quakenet.org seems to have dissapeared, we now host a new statbot for that channel: ArcaneBot :D

Elscouta coded most of this bot, Tepsu hosts it on his old comp. and the current commands are !seen , !info and !psserver.

!seen let\'s you know when this user last visited the channel.

!info gives you information about a certain subject, for example !info Yliakum will give you \"The name of the stalactite wich holds the city of Hydlaa, among many other things.\". This command is also linked to our members database so if you use !info it will return some information about this member from his profile(rank, RP name, prefered way of magic etc.).

!psserver is the same command ParaSite has been running for some time and gives you information about the Laanx server(the same as what you can see on the top of this page).

Although i wished it was true, i did only !info, !members and !psserver (thanks to ParaSite for his help on this one). The bot is based on eggdrop so i just needed to add my own commands.

There\'s also !members which is deprecated (or will be really soon) because it\'s a synonym of !info members.

I have to say great work and a great guild. AO has always been top of my list when it comes to which guild i might join. I really did like your old web site though is it still there?

Our new site is the best, and also by far the most advanced one (that\'s kinda why we made it :) ). Our old site is cleared and doesn\'t exist anymore.. (at least not to my knowledge :P)

Hi everybody,

Wolfmane, aka Illyria the White, has been ressurected from the dead for some time but had her beautysleep for a while and is now \"presentable\" again.  8)

AO has the pleasure of celebrating our 1st anniversary as an active PS guild on the 20th of June. Axsyrus and other members have done a lot of work on the celebrations, and Axs has promoted the occasion in the PS community. This is just my little penny in the pond to spread the happy news.

Anybody interested in more info or attending our celebrations online feel free to pop over to our IRC channel #arcaneorder @quakenet.

To celebrate this AO is holding an in-game event in Hydlaa at 20:00 GMT on 20/6.  All are welcome! Interested parties may view the AO website  (http://www.arcaneorder.com)  for more information or contact AO in IRC #arcaneorder @ quakenet
