Will we be able to share exp with our friends or party??
-
Isnt that a little bit strange ?
Hase it been used in other games ?
-
i like the idea of teaching, thats sort of exp sharing.
i mean, say u know alot about crafting, and soem other player has a high *learning* level, then you could easly *teach* him about three crafting levels.
this will be done for a agreed fee, and for a certain time which will be displayed when the *trade* is made
its a good idea in general, but who\'s to stop the players to teach themselfs stuff for free, all night long ?
if dev people come up with a solution for that, all will be good.

if you and several friends get together to go out hunting, in RL, and you all come back succesful, wouldn\'t you say that you all had an experience together?
just stands to reason that when you group with friends so that you can hunt bigger and badder things, that no matter how small your role is in the group, you should all share the experience of the hunt. if not then it wouldnt be fair to the guy thats been healing you while you melee.
-
i see, in that case i find it a goof idea , you should share some exp , but not all. The one who kills would get more exp then the ones who are watching , but they all should get some.
Only hard to say what is a hunting group. Some could accadently walk by and get also some exp.

How bout this for an idea. U get the experiance for what U kill or damage. If u sit there and watch it, u shouldnt get experiance for it, if u fight it and do damage, but dont kill it, u should get a little bit of exp.
-
thye have parties in helbreath like that...they all share exp..and you can\'t hit a party member with magic so its perfect :D
-
in eq, if u sit back in do no damage, u get party xp, and if u fight and do atleast 50% of the damage, u get extra xp too.
-
u gotta watch out though ... some big people will just party will lil guys and lvl them up super fast if they shar exp equally.
-
in eq, if the person is like 4 lvls or 5 higher, the low lvl wont get xp. but a way they do that is called power lvling. what u do, is have the lil guy fight up close, while the other guy stands back and heals, i see nothing wrong with that, cuz pling comes with a hefty price :]
-
ya having a limit on lvl differences would fix it.
but their should also be like a range limit too...
if ur super far away from ur group then u shouldn\'t get the exp

I still think that area damage spells should damage your party members as well. Otherwise, it\'s like throwing a grenade without hurting your friends.
This will make leveling a little harder (many people want that) and magic users will have to be a bit more careful. Another thing, if I happen to stand between an archer and its target, then I should be the one to get hit by the arrow (i haven\'t seen this implemented in any other game). But...the archer could, perhaps, shoot the arrow higher so that it passes over me, but doing less damage.
To sum up, what I think is that \"Friendly Fire\" should be included.

i agree, friendly fire would make it more realistic
