The game-that-shall-not-be-named is Rune Scape (no space). It\'s name has been censored on the forums.

There were alot of fuzz about it a long time ago, and the devs didn\'t want it here, since it has its own forum.

agreed, if you want to talk about other games, you have all the possibilities in the world to go talk to people who actually care about what you have to say.. if you want to talk about RS here, no one would care, you would get flamed and the post would eventually be deleted for obvious reasons..

mmm I originally wrote a bunch of paragraphs in the defense of RS but no matter what I say some of you are to ignorant to just hear it out without automatically bashing. So I\'ll just write this.
Don\'t Hate! Appreciate! (I am sure many of you have played RS and enjoyed it because it was free and fun but now that something has topped it you no longer respect the game. I appreciate it because I did play it and I still do on the odd occasion!!)

I stopped playing RS long before I started playing PS. I stopped playing RS because it\'s such an awful game.

to each his own opinion, for those who don\'t play games for there graphics it was a good game. That is the only reason I could see for quitting the game unless you have a high level character that can do the max at any skilll.

obviously you haven\'t played the game long enough! There is RP a lot may I add : / Not so much between NPCs those are just adventures and quests but between guilds and players.

so? I am sure this game will have some powergaming involved, most likely will. Tibia again a ffree MMORPG, I didn\'t enjoy it but I respect the creators for it. They took the time to create something and for free the least you can do is give it some sort of respect. There is to much insults carried around about some of these games, if you don\'t like it say I didn\'t like it. You don\'t need to go around starting threads on how the people on their forums are noobs and how the game royally sux and all this other garbage :/!

So yer saying I should respect everyone that makes free stuff? Not going to happen. I would respect them if they would make game that at least fits to the genre, sorry but neither rs nor tibia are mmorpg\'s...
However thanks to the powergaming, people can get addicted to them much easier. Seriously, I\'m far from respecting people that can\'t do somthing good and try to get more users by calling their games mmorpg\'s

I completely agree with DepthBlade, if you don\'t like this kind of game, at least respect the people who created them and the players who play it. You know, people with different opinions than you and even player who don\'t like roleplaying aren\'t all stupid.

the point is that it\'s a great failure in creating mmorpg, you can\'t deny that as the main point of mmorpg should be to roleplay.

that is the ammount of people playing just at the moment! RS is powergaming, roleplaying and for alot of people a good way to pass the time. PlaneShift will be a RP and yes you can say it won\'t but almost all roleplaying games turn out to have powergaming in them and finally this game WILL be addicting and its not just powergaming that makes it addicting its the people to talk to and how much fun it can be!

Its censored for a good reason and it should stay so. Wherever somone mentions this game, a long spam thred gets started between the players of this evil game and thouse who dont like this game at all. See what it did already? And this wont end so fast(if it wont get locked or deleted). So please respect the the censorship in this forum! This game is EVIL

ok, I\'m going to explain what I mean and then just shut up.
mmorpg = massively multiplayer online roleplaying game
that means the game aims at roleplaying in a massive community
if someone tries to make mmorpg, but doesn\'t make it based on roleplaying, but powergaming then the mmorpg is a failure. The game itself might be good, but as a mmorpg it\'ll suck.
same as first person shooters. The main point is to shoot/slay stuff, but what if you won\'t implement it?

No, no. This game is evil because it causes a lot of spam. I dont say its bad or whatever. This game has its + and -. We should discuss Planeshift here, and not that game or nay other games. Look at the top - it says Planeshift forums, not crap and other things forum.

I fully agree with Draklar in that game not being an MMORPG, I\'d prefer to call it by the name the creators gave it themselfes: massive 3d multiplayer adventure. as it isn\'t anything more.

That\'s exactly what\'s happening here. The thread was about how to get a cheap laugh from runescape forums. It\'s become a long spam thread about the virtues of the game.
