Ladies and gentlemen, my friends of PS,
I come before you as I end a phase of my existence here. Today I declare officially my plans to cease to be Auran the Corruptor. I have made many friends as that Auran and have lost many. I might add that the losses outweighed the gains. But what had to be done was done. I donot regret anything save for the friends i may have hurt during this time. Auran the Corruptor was needed then as he becomes unneccessary now. Hence the decision.
I feel I have accomplished all i could with him. The Cabal doesn\'t need me much either hereon for it is in good hands. I have good memories of it as well as bad but I\'d rather remember the former than the latter. The Cabal is a powerful force. For that matter so is any organisation. However a force isn\'t effective unless in the right hands. The sword cuts not if the hands know not how to wield it. I have accomplished much with it and if put to right use( as I am sure it will be in the hands of the Current Corruptors) it can prove to be an unparalleled force of destruction. A model tool of evil. It can win its controller the world. But those ambitions I share no longer. May the Cabali make good use of it.
I had what I wanted and I desire it no longer. Matters were brought to a head when mogura called( i hope) me her once best friend pn PS. Then I realised that there was little else that I wanted to be. No power was more satisfying than the friendship of that little girl I loved as a friend. Thus I lay down my garb of power and cease my toils. I need no more.
Nevertheless I will continue here in PS for I am in love with this community. I\'ll be around but Auran The Corruptor will be gone. I hope you can accept me in my new role. Even if not I will play it none the less.
I will now conclude with this poem my friend Savion came up with (that guy sure is creative no matter what you think of him;):
Oh Corruptor! Savion\'s Corruptor! Your fearful run is done.
The Cabal has spied on every guild, the prize we sought is won,
CB is near, the bells Savion hears\', the people all corrupted,
While follow eyes the steady keel, our reign, grim and daring;

Its a tad pretentious but hell i like it:D.

Well, I\'m sorry to hear that the most convincingly evil person in this community is giving up his role as such. As much as I disagreed with everything about him, I had to admire his impeccable jerkish style. I only hope you choose to make your next character one who will pursue the path of good. 8)

Is it just me or has the community suddenly sprung into life like some kinda easter bunny. So much stuff going on guildwise and movies - real and fake.
Anyway goodluck with whatever path you choose auran, now we are both retired leaders. Maybe we should set up and lead the retired leaders guild, lol.

Under any other circumstance, I\'d be inclined to not believe such a thing for one second. But after reading this and your post in the other thread, I can\'t help but feel you really are doing this honestly... And I don\'t know what to say.
Part of me feels guilty. Surely this didn\'t happen because of me alone. Tell me there\'s more of a reason than that? How long did you think about this before deciding to go through with it?
The Cabal is nothing without you, Auran. You\'re the one person who made it tolerable. You\'re the only person who has the wit and silver tongue to make its idle threats a reality. Nobody else I know uses words like you do; so well that you\'re almost a manifestation of language itself, able to use it for any purpose you need.
Now that you\'ve left the guild, I can\'t say I see it lasting more than a few weeks. Without you, they are just a load of spammers and spies. There\'s no strength in it now you\'re gone. Does this make you feel regret at all? Do you have thoughts appearing in your mind, feelings for your guild, that you might want to sneakily return and run it from the shadows without us knowing?
If you do, then you\'ve accomplished nothing at all with this. But if you\'re sincere, then... we can no longer stay just \'aquaintances\'. My friendship and trust is yours again from now on. :)

Before you all get overly misty-eyed by Auran\'s public self-flagellation, you might want to look at the SH thread again and see that his big resignation is right after my post about the pointlessness of non-secret secret guilds.
I\'m not a player but I would probably assume that Auran has something else going on besides being suddenly touched by all the friendship. If that means he isn\'t trusted when he is truly repenting, so be it--that is one of the costs of being a jerkwad for so long.

Xordan maybe they won\'t come from the shadows, maybe they have been in hiding so long they will abandon you for a real guild with real morals? Something to think about next time you send a spy into the depths of another guild!!! As for the ones that aren\'t hiding and are showing themselves, you will all suffer the same fate because your guild will diminish once the time is right and then where will you go and who will take you, knowing that you are the scum of this game....!!
Yes this is a threat!! My guild maybe somewhat smaller than yours and unorganized at the moment but we probally have all the time in the world until the next release is put out,
so hear this your already pitiful self will be put to rest if we ever encounter! If you think death will stop me your wrong...I will resurrect time and time again until you are no more!!
@As for what you said Venge, I think it is very possible that he is just playing everyone for some trust and good reputation! But I will stick in my role and believe him with one eye and observe him with the other!

Cabal is made up of lots and lots of people its just not a 1 man rant fest ! Auran was the Head of propaganda Or so they say... but i agree with moogie, cabal wont be the same without auran :( none of us can come close to his command of english (not even darklar).... maby savion can fill thoese shoes but its a long shot (imho) but i guess his the best we\'ve got after auran leaves cabal
though Annah belives this is like the tiwan elections where one of them shot himself to get more votes and its all a scam and crap i honestly dont but i guess you guys dont really care to belive me, after all iam in cabal ........... ;)

Yea you\'re right. Auran isn\'t the Cabal, he just represents it, and do all its work. Without him, Cabal can\'t exist. The rest are all idiots ...

Thank you all for your words my friends. Kind or Unkind matter not to me and never did. But the fact that you deemed me worth your words is more than enough.
Well first I\'d like to discuss the Cabal a bit.
Yes I know I started the Cabal. I had a goal in mind for it. But as the show got on the road, the actors collected and the caravan grew. What started with me, grew beyond me very soon. Cabal is the Cabali and not Auran. The Cabal is beyond and over me. I was just one of the numerous pilllars of its halls. Then I saw my support wasn\'t needed and numerous other shoulders now supported that onus that I once carried. Thus I rest. Having carried it far I wish to go no further. I was not The Cabal. I was little beyond the public relations officer. The eyes that spied were not mine. The hands that acted were not mine. Everyone mostly knows far too little to pass any judgement. Now that my face will not be there it will be replaced. Trust me. The Cabal shouldn\'t be wanting for capable people.
However evilly I may have acted, can you ever recall me as having lied? Why do you doubt my words now then? When I started I told you that the Cabal will see guilds eaten inside out and razed to dust. Most of you were incredulous about our ability or even the feasibility of such a plan. Do you not see how that is a reality now? What else I say will also be a reality sooner or later. But meanwhile I cease to be a part of that cataclysm. My role has ended. The Wheels are in motion and with proper guidance they will reach their goal. Time will reveal all.
Now I will reply to some of the things people among you have chosen to express:
Moogla:
I am then justified in all I have done since I have regained your friendship. There is nothing more I can ask. You are too kind to me little miss. Me a manifestation of language? Proficiency I will admit but beyond that I cannot justly accept. Maybe its just because you love me so that my words appear an orchestrated symphony to your ears. Love is a poor and partial judge madam. And that is precisely why I can never dislike you or yours.
Venge:
You are a player Venge. Like it or not you have no choice but to be one. You will understand how is it that i speak of. You are many things but not lacking in intelligence;).
Penance? Repentance? Self-flagellation? What ever gave you that notion. I apologise for nothing. I repent nothing. The only thing that i ever felt bad about was having moogle feel sad. But there was reason behind what I did then. And since I have her again I don\'t repent anything. In the same situation I would do again what i did then. I end Auran the Corruptor now because I no longer need him.
And lastly I must thank you for thinking my post good enough to get everyone misty eyed;).

Yes Brother I do believe in somethings being more important than power. I did what I did because I had chosen the task of roleplaying Evil. Whether I performed adequately is for you to judge and not for me to tell. But I will say this:
Good must always win in the end. Without good winning where is the hope. A good story never ends in hopelessness. I think a little more respect is due to people who RP evil. Rping evil is not just about being jerks or having fun or playing cliched stereotypes. It involves the great sacrifice of playing the side destined to lose. All great evil roleplayers I have known, took the dive and let good win just to keep that hope alive. The lesson must always be that however black the night the sun always rises at the end of it. But mind it that good must struggle for all that it holds sacred and never give up even in its darkest hour. The role of evil is to make people appreciate good and strive to be so .
Good and bad are like day and night. Never should good reign for too long nor should evil be eternal. That doesn\'t make for a good game and when it all is said it is the game that is the most important. Over guilds, over players, the triumph must be of the game.
That said I will conclude for now. I will be around and hopefully serve this game and community in my humble capability. But for god\'s sake lighten up. I was beginning to think I had died or summing what with all the farewells and wellwishes :P:D. I am beyond needing luck. I am Auran aren\'t I? All i need are friends which i see I have no dearth of.;):)

True, but speaking like that is part of his character i guess. Im not sure what Auran has accomplished... The establishment of a powerfull evil guild? Or corrupting and destroying another guild. Like some i too doubt somewhat if this all isn\'t in the play.
But i do LOVE this all, the fall of SH (sorry if i sound rude) and the retirement of Auran. Even without CB lots of interesting is going on. I wonder what is possible when CB arrives. In the meantime i just watch and enjoy *pulls out a huge bucket filled with popcorn*

As for Cabal collapsing, well, we\'ll wait and see won\'t we. Only time will prove your theories correct or incorrect. As Auran said, our wheels are moving, and he has given us our momentum, all that needs doing is steering us in the right direction. Some of you think that we\'re a group of inactive spammers, with only Auran keeping us together. Others see through our outer image, and arn\'t so foolish. Some of you know me personally, and know my ability to keep this guild going. Some might have even talked to the other corruptors, and know their capibilities as well. It is those people who won\'t throw us aside as a lost cause. Everyone else relies on what we tell them, what we show, which isn\'t always that reliable a source. ;) Whatever you believe about us, know that the loss of Auran is just the next step of the development of our guild. We\'re prepared for this, and his departure will just allow us to become more self dependant. Throw this aside in disbelief if you will, ignorence is bliss.

Yah we will be enemies sucks to be you :evil: ! I am not to worried about being infilitrated by your guild, considering we are invite only and my current members are from my school in town or good friends of mine, few exceptions with the others but its not like they can steal a whole lot of information that isn\'t already posted to the public! Bring your best and they will die like the rest!
@ I have to much determination to disband over a few spies, its called restarting the guild keeping the ones you know are yours and eliminating the rest...

This news makes me cry, cry from joy, for now the take over of the guild has come one step closer to my grasp.

Even the most corrupted hearts can be won over by love. Auran shows us all that, in the end, friendship will prevail over self-interest and egoism. I suggest that all of us take our cue from Auran and never underestimate the powerful bonds that hold friends together.
Auran, good luck in achieving any and every goal that you have set for yourself. However, it seems that you have achieved your main goal: winning Moogie\'s friendship back.
And even if you do still have a secret agenda, I will still respect you for realizing that even a dream can end, but true friendship cannot do so.

It more depends on ones perception of what defines \"true evil\". We may not be the meanest bunch around but the evil is there. My opinion of \"true evil\" comes from only one being whom only cares about themselves and feels they don\'t need a group of friends (or guild) to obtain true power and is the bane and enemy of everyone, good and evil guilds alike. They have no morals, no feelings of happiness or love or anything that is a \"good\" feeling. All that person feels is hate, bloodlust,jealousy, and every feeling that is \"bad\".Two entities of \"true evil\" could never work together, as their greed,hatred,and lust for killing would conflict with each other. That my friends, is true evil in my eyes.
It is every good guilds instinct to target the most evil guild around. They get an impression that it makes other evil guilds look a bit obsolete. As long as there is one evil guild that stands out and really gets the publics attention, the rest of the evil guilds then have the oppurtunity to fool the foolish follower of light into thinking they arnt a threat worth worrying about.(Indeed the cabal served this purpose quite well until auran left. Now it\'s just dead and quiet :P) Of course that is far from the truth. Such foolishness can only be had by following the path of good.

true evil wouldnt need power to control Yilakium.
but i agree on that true evil dont need a guild or friends atleast not a family.
i would think that true evil doesnt have feelings or maybe feelings in some other twisted way.
but in fact i dont think there really is a point as true evil which can exist in one player.

That\'s because they take themselves too seriously. Now, some people say, it\'s only fun if you\'re serious, but that\'s not true. Nothing is fun if you\'re too serious about it. That includes life. Serious people do not have fun lives.
So the \"badass\" guilds are really serious about the game, and it doesn\'t go very far, because that\' not the way the game was meant to be played.

If a guild is not serious at all, it won\'t survive either. There has to be an equal balace...have fun while being serious :D Personally, I think the Mercenary Guild is a perfect example of having an equal balance of seriousness and \"funness.\" Im not saying this to publicize the guild that I am a member of, but after looking at all the other guilds, it is my opinion that the Mercenary Guild is the best in this respect, which is a major reason I am part of that guild and that I believe that this guild will last a long time...longer than most. I think the Mirth also has a good balance of both too :D .

I think you may be confusing True Evil with chotic evil. Chaotic Evil is about the destruction of all, about hatred and madness the Chaotic Evil character (Like Kefka of Final Fantasy 6 when approaching the end) shall not rest until he has slain all.
True Evil (like Sauron), hungers to impose its will on all, using whatever means they can (deceit, betrayal, etc.) to make sure they rule the world and that all knee before them.
Lawful Evil (Like Bahamut Lagoon\'s villain) wishes to subdue good and neutral, using lawful ways like forming an Empire to impose their will on others, they prefer defeating the enemy in battle lawfully rather then using chaotic methods, that way they can prove their supremacy instead of winning \"dirtly\" and that is why they sometimes are suported by higher races like elves, men and dwarves (unlike True Evil which uses corrupted races like goblins, orcs, trolls and such).
At least that\'s how I see it.
PS: There are different \"intensities\" for each of those alignments.

- I am still alive.
