can a player use the portals linked to the other worlds and get to the original areas where they all used to live or are all of those closed or inaccessible to mortals

i tought i heard someone say that there is a portal from the plane to ex. the stone labyrints. and that is the only way to get there.

yah but what about the original worlds of the races in planeshift

Yah they should have towns where your race originated, the town would be completely of one race except for the tourists entering..then have the bigger cities being multi-racial!

or i was thinking the entire world but i say they should seal the portals.... if people could go through those portals they would leave the cave and players would have a complicating decision on where to live

That sounds like a huge world, Yliakum will be big I suposse and with having portals for the outside world, I\'ll say wow. But of course, I wouldn\'t say no to such a big world :P

If you read the history on the main site, you would know there won\'t be portals.
You can enter the stone labyrints through a gate on a certain level in Yliakim (cen\'t remember).
The stone labyrinths might eventually lead to the world outside.

I think it is the top level, and about the world outside...that would be sweet, except for the problem of radiation from the Crystal, doesn\'t it stick out of the ground miles high?

what if you just make a huge exit to the outside from the the cave,but only do it if they finished the cave completely or just felt like starting something new...but that would throw the entire government off balance on who owns what that or it will be lawless and we could do what ever we want...

I dont see how being above ground or below ground would change the government...

the govern ment was made to only govern the 8 levels...there is nothing about the outside.....maybe they just split it

I don\'t know where you got that idea...there are eight Octarchs ruling each city...I think thats what you were thinking of...cities, not levels

i heard levels because there are eight levels.... there are a lot of cities cant there be?

Well each level is huge, many cities will be on each level and each city will have its eight octarchs...

thats a crap load of octarchs i thought there were only 8 in the entire cave....oh wait...heh sorry it iss city....????? thats still a lot of octarchs...but it works better that way anyway.....

I think we shouldn\'t be bothered with the outside world yet, because the caverns are huge. It would take hours to walk to the outside world, if you know the way and aren\'t attacked by strange exotic creatures...

real time? because then people will just walk as long as they can killing monsters then log out then keep walking when they get back

There can be faster ways of transportation. Like having a portal connected to the outside world. I hope some portals get connected to other world when PS is running smoothly. This really fits nicely in the history where races come from other planets. And yes i keep repeating this: a variety of the magic level depending on the planet would be nice. Where one planet has little magic while in another magic is very present.

Imagine getting past those monsters to the outside world... then creating the first cozy abode and charging adventures bundles and mountains of cash just for healing. Because there are no other healers nearby to give you some sanctuary from the strange monsters on the surface, they will grudgingly pay or run away.
Ahh... that would be the good life...

yah but i doubt there should be a portal to the outside of the cave...maybe to the other worlds but like i said then there would be a much larger world to explor and all the races that came would leave ylikaium

Pterosaurs must be at least three years old and fully trained before they can actually carry a person, which makes them precious, coveted, and very expensive to keep. Only extremely wealthy people can afford these lizards, but no matter how wealthy a family is they may only legally own a single Pterosaur. The law forbids owning more than one of these animals in order to avoid dangerously crowding the limited air space.
---Megaras -The second flying animal is the Megaras, which is similar to a giant bat. Scientists believe the Crystal has genetically mutated the Megaras, since they reproduce only in Yliakum. These bat-like creatures are not as docile as the Pterosaurs, but they are stronger and more efficient, making them perfect to carry heavy but not too delicate loads, such as food and building materials. As with the Pterosaurs, each mercantile society is allowed to own only one Megaras.\"
