(He\'s talking about the steps to fix the linkdead/connection problem)
Well I for one am glad that we got that figured out.
But we (the private network people who greatly want to connect) are still stuck with the problem >> WE CAN NOT PLAY THE FREAKIN\' GAME <<
Anyways, the question is \"Do we have a chance to play Planeshift while on these private networks?\"
And if so, what must we do to fix this problem so we can play this game and all the other online games that we are missing out on?
Much Respect to the one who enlightens the unfortunate Private Network People!

This works for me so it might work for you

What is DMZ mode?

I may have missed the point, but here goes...
If you know what you\'re doing, playing PS on a network is no problem, as is using any network application.
If I\'m not mistaken, azeazezar is talking about using a DMZ computer, which basically means a computer outside the network proper (i.e. beyond a firewall/router) to get around difficulties such as the one you\'re speaking of. DMZ computers are huge security risks though, and are usually unnesscary (barring the occassional unique network configuration).
