Hi all.
On my favorite Mandrake mirror I seen yesterday a planeshift RMP avilable.
It\'s a cooker mirror (mandrake-devel).
Then I installed it :
>urpmi cel
>urpmi crystalspace
>urpmi planeshift
First of all, the planeshift RPMs is very small...I think graphics are missing...
I done :
>export CRYSTAL=/usr/lib/crystalspace
And when I try to run the client :
>psclient
It anwers :
ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?
Is anybody here tested thoses Mandrake packages and have the solution for runable install ?
If there is no answer to my problem, I will contact the mandrake man behind the planeshift package.
The goal for me is not running Planeshift, that\'s not a problem...but I want to help with the Mandrake RPM, to make planeshift a standard for the Mandrake community...
Sincerely

Maybe you have to set your CEL var too
-
Thanks for the idea...I tested it...but no, this is not the solution.
I\'ll dig :-)
-
I\'ve seen some folks come on the IRC trying to figure out this package in the past; I\'m not sure where it came from, or if its some sort of cruel joke, but I don\'t believe it works.
Assuming you are speaking of the same package, you\'re correct in that it doesn\'t have the art, so its nigh-useless.
-
I don\'t use Mandrake, I use Slackware, but even so I don\'t touch RPM\'s, they always seem to cause trouble for me. =/

Those packages was on a official Mandrake mirror (they seem to have moved)...they are made by the same guy.

Mandrake packages are bzip2 compressed.
Planeshift contains :

/usr/games/texparse

/usr/lib/Planeshift/dbmysql.so
/usr/lib/Planeshift/pfcharacterdata.csplugin

They seem to have been moved of the mirror...and, perhaps you know it, Mandrake mirrors are broke for the moment...I will seek for those pacakge during the next week.
And, as a last solution, I could put them on a web server if you are interesting in testing them.
Sincerely.

Interesting... since when do we have a v0.2.011?? And the content of the planeshift rpm seems... umm... to be a bit empty... and why are the plugins at a different location? I doubt that this one will work...

Ok..at least I founded a Mandrake mirror for those RPMs:
ftp.proxad.net/mirrors1/ftp.mandrake-linux.com/Mandrakelinux/devel/cooker/contrib/RPMS
