Title: HELP PLEASE
Post by: Amerelium on April 15, 2004, 02:04:54 pm
The game does not work at all.

In Win98, I cannot even start the configuration utility - I get a \'Cannot create a DirectDraw device\' message. When I try to launch the game it tells me \' The MSVCP70.DLL file is linked to missing export MSVCR70.dll:__iob_func.\' and \'C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift\\psclient.exe  A device attached to the system is not functioning.

In WinXP, I can start the configurator, but get a similar msvcr70 message when I try to launch the game.

 - and yes, I HAVE the .dll file in question...

ASUS P4T-E
P4 Northwood 2.2
ATI Sapphire Radeon 9600 PRO Fireblade Edition
Soundblaster Audigy
DirectX 9.0b

The WinXP message:

The procedure entry point __iob_func could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR70.dll

 - please help...

OK - I got it working - what I had to do was to delete the two mscv70 dll\'s, and let the installer use its...

 - But I STILL cannot open the Setup program in Win98 though - so if anyone could help...
