Title: what's up with this ?

so just out of curiousity i went to the ryzom site and signed up for the free beta testing..well today i get an email saying i can now create a charecter and try the game....but...here\'s the catch i have to be a paying member on gamespy.
that doesn\'t sound free to me. or is there somewhere else i can go to get it.
if any one else is trying this game out throw some input my way about it  :D

Bwahaha... I\'m a member :P Downloaded it today, but I need a better vid card than I have at the moment for it to play (shuts down at the character creation screen).

The Ryzom Open Beta download will be available to nonsubscribers on the 20th of this month on fileplanet, but I assume the download waiting times/speeds will be crazy :/ So if you\'re not a subscriber, that\'s the only choice you have, it seems...

Strange... me, Xenia, and Seperot have all signed up to the beta test and it doesn\'t cost us a thing. Me and Xenia still play it in it\'s current phase, Beta3 (open Beta), and it still doesn\'t cost anything. I\'ve not even seen any mention of Gamespy anywhere... at all. :P

maybe that\'s because you aren\'t a subscriber =)

anyhow, beta\'s suck pay up and become part of something special :P:P
