Title: my computer freezes when initializing worl

Hei I\'m new in the game and I haven\'t even really started.
Everytime I try to connect in \"molecular blue\" freezes when initializing world. I\'ve read that lots of peple have got the same problem but no solution has worked in my case. Can anybody help me? I\'m really getting mad!!

How long have you left it on initilizing world (without doing anything else (ie no alt-tab, etc.)?  And what are your system specs?

Doing nothing at all 35 min

Systems specs:
AMD ATHLON XP 1700
GeForce 2 MX 400
256MB RAM
(anything else?)

If you can put your OS down too that would be useful.  You may just have to leave it longer while not doing anything, some people have to wait up to two hours on their first initialization.  Sounds crazy, but it has happened.

Edit: Guess it wasn\'t clear what I said.  Basically just wanted to know what OS you were running.  When I said put it down, I meant to write it down in the forums.  My mistake.

I\'ve never heard about turning off the OS, how do I turn It off? I\'ve got windows 98 SE

I have the same problem. I had downloaded MB and it worked for two weeks, allowing me to meet a great bunch of people in Hydlaa (Agara, Myla, Niliya and Cadora *I haven\'t forgotten about your kindness!*) but then about 2 weeks ago it suddenely started freezing during the world loading part.

I left it for a few days, tried again, got the dead link error, tried again and it\'s working now except it still freezes when inisalising(SP?) the world.

This has now been driving me nuts for nearly 3 weeks and my addiction of Planeshift is growing worse from not playing!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

My system specs are as follows:

1.6Ghz P4
256Mb DDR Kingmax Ram
40G HDD
GeForce 2 MMX 400 64MB Graphix Card
Window XP

So one said in another thread to expand XP\'s virtual memory, I expanded mine to 4GB and it still hasn\'t solved this problem, has anyone got some tips or anything for me to try?
