i have tried the game on different resolutions,(it works on some games with the frames and stuff, this also was annoying because of the half an hour intializing for each different one,) and it seems to have no effect

please help me out,

like this i can barely move one step, let alone play

btw i have a p4 with a geforce4 mx440

I have the same problem, the game is extremely slow and i\'ve got well of 30 gigs of memory left, plenty of ram, and the game still runs like..like it has no legs i guess..... ANYWAY! someone with an answer please respond!

Please read the forums before posting lag messages. :) There is nothing you can do to fix lag if you\'re experiencing it. Keep in mind that this is a pre-alpha program and not optimised to every possible system configuration.

Generally, it\'s a good idea to have upwards of 256mb RAM, and more if you\'re running on Windows XP.

All I can really suggest is, put up with it for now, and see how things go in the next release (Crystal Blue).

Or you can listen to a tape when you go to bed, with a person repeating \'There is no lag\'. Then when you wake, there will be no lag!! :)

Let\'s see..

You have plenty of Random Access Memory (RAM) and 30 GB Memory?

\"Does not compute\"

Not sure what doesn\'t compute about it,  the \"30GB Memory\" is clearly a reference to long term memory (i.e. a hard drive)

*Puts on his teachers hat*
But it\'s incorrect. Memory is a clear reference to RAM. HDD Space is long term memory.

lol, Androgos, stop being fussy ;)

all the lag could be from  the connection, i have comcast, i lag like hell, even in slow mode (good computer too)

The lag isn\'t possibly caused by your Internet connection. PS requires less than what a 56k can provide, so even if you\'re a dialup user, you should be fine.

this  game is impossible!!!

It takes 30 minutes just to load and  it freezes a lot during  play!!!I have one of the best computers money can buy

\\my specs
Pentium 4 3.4 GHZ processor
400gb  harddrive with 275gb left
4gb ram
T1 internet connection
Radeon 9800

this game really needs some fine tuning in the programing and level design. I fell thru the grounnd in a dungeon and it took a week for me to somehow unstick myself

I was reading the minimum specs for this game and it says you need 128 mb ram at least but when check howmuch ram Im using during play its 600-800mb

1. Where did you see offical system reqs? Maybe you require 64GB RAM and TAT-14 line?

2. Please look back at the posts in this forum \"Pre-Alpha\", \"Memory leakage\", \"Wait for CB\" \"V0.2.010\" what does this tell you?

3. Fine tuning?!? This isn\'t a game yet!

Also note that people with lesser specs than you sometimes get much better performance.  It may have a lot to do with driver versions & settings, or other mysterious things.

When processes spawn children or threads (and I\'m going to assume that MB does, since it has to load things dynamically) it may encounter race conditions deadlocks, and other system hangups, that would vary from machine to machine, architecture to architecture, and OS distro to OS distro. I haven\'t tried yet, but I may when I get some spare time, compile it on my 333 K6-II linux box, and see what happens. Since my 9800 Pro card can\'t pull it and 512MB Ram is not enough. Bah... I guess I shouldn\'t post here since all the explinations for why it\'s laggy and why nothing can be done about it are fairly obvious. But I felt the need to vent a little steam.

They say patience is a virtue, I don\'t believe in virtues, but I can at least appreciate the fact that MB is a pre-alpha tech demo. Anyway, this isn\'t aimed at anyone, just venting steam and waiting form my portage cache to finish it\'s update cycle.

before the release of crystal blue, PS ran perfectly fine with not much lag, then after getting all the updates for crystal blue now when i log in i have tremendous lag, i cant even move, and it\'s not something that goes away, it happens every time i log in.  Anyone have an idea why this would happen?

What\'ve you been smokin, Kloe? CB hasn\'t been released! :P
I think what Kloe means is that he run the updater and now its slow. That doesn\'t make much more sense than what he actually said. :-/

my game takes about 3o seconds to log in and no lag whatsoever... runs smooth as glass with all the settings at max res. max scrn depth. everything

specs- gforce 2--overclocked quite a bit-liquid cool
512 mb ram       2.5 processor err i think that covers everything
