Am I correct in that Drow is based on word substitution with english?

whats wrong with elves? i dont know much drow, i more knowledged in other elven languages

it is a cool languge but on the tree\'s part drow elve\'s don\'t live in tree\'s they live underground in cave\'s so really if there were drow in planeshift they would fit right in  :D
