I\'m currently downloading the Plane shift files,.. I heard some really nice things about it. I\'m a former player of Everquest and NWN. Great games and all,.. but with EQ with very new expansion you have to shell out more money,.. and NWN.. it gets boring after a while. But anywho,.. I really like the idea and variety of character developement. I\'m a heavy hard core role player, and this looks very promising. I can remember a while back, the staff of Planeshift asked if I could write some music for the game. I never heard from them when I submitted some demos of my work. Maybe someone here remembers me, my alias at the time was Topazbeauty. Its been a while though so I doubt it. I look forward to trying PlaneShift,..It be nice to RP again in an enviroment that interacts with players ideas, and stories.

it isn\'t as rp-friendly as it used to be :(
But you still can have fun from it if you find the right people I guess... have fun there :)

The game will not enforce RP itself. That\'s up to the palyers. Hmm, we need a battle song.

yes, that\'s what I mean... players make it non rp-friendly
what did you understand by \"used to be\" Planeshift itself didn\'t change at all ;) :P

I still don\'t see why you need the whole world to rp with you - I mean, if you want to roleplay, do you need something else than a rp guild and rp friends? The n00bish/cabalish noise is not that important, is it? And there is /ignore and stuff for really boring ones. ( Note that i fully support rp, i\'m just pointing something that bother me for quite a big amount of time )

Sure, nobodies stopping you from rp\'ing. I don\'t think u can\'t rp if u\'r playing a game properly. :P

yeah, i could ... if i ever success to compile this release. (ok, i didn\'t tried a lot 8) ).

but to come back to what i said (because i think i know enough to speak), there\'s two categories of non-rper. The first is people that powerlevel and don\'t care of others. These ones are easy to ignore and they are a majority of non-rper. The other part is stupid n00bs that just run around screaming MDR MDR MDR JE SUI LE + FOR. These ones are only a minority and can easily be set on /ignore or banned if a GM wander around.

or people that run around annoyingly like crazy, which gets even worse since they alted their client so they run 5 times as fast... ok, I mean one person here. :rolleyes:
Others are just there for crystal hunt and everyone gathers in temple, where also the low life forms come...

pfft, if anything we should at least set up an RPG enforced server, since playing amongst powergamers isn\'t all that fun.. I joined this community to be able to RP ingame (when that time comes :P)..

and they should rename the rank to \"Steel Legend\"! :D

1) roleplaying can be hard when suddenly someone completely confuses you by answering to someone who is on your ignore list.
2) using dwarves height to do pervert stuff -_- (that is very common)
3) yes it is

hmm... that way only me and Xal would have it for a long time... hell yea, they should :D

I think rp should be einforced to some extent but we should respect people that don\'t want to rp and only powerlevel.
