Ok here is a idea that I have been debating for some time in my head, so I\'ll throw it out into the open! How about:
Accesories:
Bodily Jewelery (Decoration)
Bodily Jewelery (Stat Bonus)
Tatoos:
Tatoos could be created out of game and be uploaded by the P.S Team and could be put on your character at some sort of shop, not sure what the shop would be called though? Some Tatoos can just be to enhance your character in a unique style and others can be for guild purposes. Then possible for punishment purposes. (Example: Your a in-game felon of so many counts of mischief you get a M for Mischief, or probally a million other ways to work that...)
Scars:
Scars could show what kind of character you are for example the most common a blade cut across the face or stomach would show that you have been in battles so your a warrior. A cut on your hand could show you as a cook or a crafter etc... Even like calusis\'s on your hands from blacksmithing or what not... (This would be something implemented if there was nothing left to implement lol :] )
There would be other ways to work each of these ideas into the game if you think there is another way to just post it please!
-
Sounds good, but some people might not the selection of tatoos.
-
I think that\'s a great idea, personally. But why not take it a bit further? Accesories, scars, tattoos... and brands! It used to be common practice to brand a first offence criminal in medieval times. That meant that even if he travelled halfway across the country, authorities could still identify him as a crim.
-
Accessories would be nice, scars and tattoos wouldnt effect me much since im covered in fur. But body jewelry and fur accessories would be nice, ear rings, tribal beads, fur coloring, etc. They\'d only be decorative for me though since im avoiding magic and magical items.
-
Enkis cant have tatoos but they can have paintings on their fur. :)
That M for mischief is a good idea (DBZ flashback)
-
i have allready given my char a scar .eyepatch and an earing if you look at the member\'s page on the blitzers you can view the pick it look\'s pretty good for just doing it in win paint :D
-
but yeah, paint on a enki\'s fur, well, is possible, but it should grow out in time. That would only take alot of space on the server and coz lag. Or you might wanne try it on the pc but I still dont think I want paint on my fur :)
-
Oh there is so much you can do, maybe on a halloween event they will put up some real rapper type bling bling and everyone could be covered in long diamond/gold chains heh!
Branding yes that sounds better then tatooing a convict!
What I want well ok I recently found a group of people in my town who play Table Top! I was like praise the lord, so we are playing hunter the reckoning and i filled out my player sheet and stuff and then wrote up a short description of my character.
OT: One of my characters special traits is that my foot steps don\'t make a sound, So I am perfect for stealth and for my intimidation and what not. I have my character\'s right hand finger tips internally plated with titanium so when my character is coming through a hallway towards you, you can\'t hear the foot steps but you will hear the tapping of my fingers on the wall :]
That would be neat if you could do stuff like that imbue your fingers with metals or fists with metals increasing your strength or durability!

Not if the character keeps reapplying it, thus making the paint \"permanent.\" Branding was also a nicely mentioned option. I\'m quite fond of tribal designs on Enkidukai - it would really fit their nature.
-
I love what you said about you having metal little fingers...sounds damn cool! :D
btw...I didnt come up with the fur painting idea myself
Originally from PS website, info about Enkidukai
Each pack has a typical and easily recognizable look, mostly because of their habit in cutting or coloring fur in ritual or traditional ways.
;)

Do hope you dont mean branding on a Enki... His fur might catch fire :P
As for tribal signs, would be quite Enki like yeah, living in packs and all... nice :D
First post reply: Scras... those would be great, then you could see if the char is a newbie or a warveteran, but in a game we get alot of scars, Im affraid evryone will turn into a mess. Just a few scars which we can make our selfs... Those would look neat

I am looking forward to being able to add things like this to my character a sweet tatoo of a X made out of lightning bolts on my shoulder h00ray! Heh Monketh, ill tie you down and tatoo f14m3r f0r l1f3 on your back ;)
RedMonk- Yah I liked the idea of titanium finger tips has worked really well can\'t wait to start playing on saturday after work then after I got to \"Troy\". So it should be about 10 pm when i get there and i was told it would probally end around 4-5am

Which brings up the wonderful wonderful idea of a hairless Enkidukai :D Y\'know, like the most beautiful cats in the world.

I love Sphynx.

DON\'T do that to me, I beg of you... :P
-
Hmm...hairless enkidukais, interesting idea. :P Have to admit...sphynx are some of the cutest creatures in existance.
-
/me just throws up a hairball
but its not bad idea since I guess it will just make us hairy enkis look better ;)
I definetely think that there should be different lenghts of fur

cute...perhaps, but I think they look kinda naked and ugly.... A cat with fur is better looking imho.
-
Not everything needs to be beautiful. Just look at Kran. *runs*
But seriously, it\'s 1) up to the individual to decide what is beautiful, and 2) why not have the ability to play the ugly? ;)
-
true if you want to be ugly go ahead :) Nothing wrong with being a ugly person *cough* :]
-
One thing I find important about the more unusual extremities of creatures (like wings and tails):
These are bound to have been put to a use other than just flying or keeping balance. I\'m sure everyone who has seen a live cat knows that their tails are a most obvious sign of their mood. I\'d love to see this kind of thing in PS. Maybe have the user select the mood and the engine\'ll work out some semi-random movement?
The same goes for wings and those things on the heads (no, I do NOT mean hair! *g*) of the Klyros. Have them erect these if they\'re angry and have them make these as small as possible if they\'re frightened or trying to hide.
This opens up new possibilities for roleplaying as you can deliberately set a fake mood, like to trick your opponent into thinking you\'re frightened / submissive or whatever. Like facial expressions, really, which would also be cool. (or simply because you think it looks better one way or another ;))
One can argue whether all race\'s facial expressions are the same due to the long time of common history, or if they are different and might not exist / mean the opposite / etc. :)
Oh, and I\'d _love_ plants on the ground / walls, like high grass, flowers, etc.. If they would react (not bite you, but sway or get knocked off / aside) to moving past / through, It\'d be so cool!
Oh yeah, I beg to leave the choice of ugliness / cuteness / darkness up to the player, because I\'m all for diversity. I loved the color selection of BG, NWN, etc..
I\'d _love_ to have a Klyros with tattoos on the wings! Yeah, that\'d be me, then! :)
Oh yeah, how about magically glowing tattoos? Not the best for hiding in the dark, but then again, it\'s my choice to choose flashy looks over functionality, isn\'t it? ;)
Edited for adding more points.

Just so you know, those are generally called crests :D
-
Ah, good to know, thank you!
Speaking of these, i\'m posting this from a halflife-model because I sort of like the little wing-like thingies (um, would these be called \"crests\" as well?).

Why does it hate png?
Anyway, regarding the branding of Enkis: brands and fur actually mix very well. Remember that brands were mainly used to mark cattle, which almost always was covered in fur.
-
I just like the idea of a flaming Enkidukai.
-
There\'ll most likely be plenty of flaming enki\'s in CB with all the mages who\'re going to be playing around with fire magicks. It\'s got to be fun. :)
Speaking of the emotes, how about a \"panic\" emote, like if you get hit by a fire spell and your clothes catch on fire? :)
-
In later versions of PS, there will probably be facial expressions. Long timea go, a dev (think it was Venge), posted a link to a demo of some facial-expressions engine-thingy too. Use the search function if you wanna find out more. ;)
-
i like the whol tat thing
if its somewhare sorry but i think it works here 2 ithink jewlry should cost acording to look and material and shouldnt just be \"art\" as in decoration for chars :)
-
branding could be used for guilds too, but branding a kran?
and paint a kran would be fun
