I think he is serious ... Pretty cool idea I guess, not sure when tree felling will actually be implemented in game though so I imagine you will just be sat around admiring each others muscles till then? I always thought it would be cool if we had more guilds based upon trades because in real life that?s what they were - merchants\' guild, actors\' guild, guild of musicians, etc. Not many guild were dark empires, no a dark empire is more of an empire :rolleyes:.

Yliakum is not as wel developed as Earth today. The people of Planeshift don\'t have to worry nearly as much about conserving resources.
Zephyrus, that\'s one of the reasons I had the idea. All the guilds now seem to be devoted to killing people or conquering something. What happened to chopping down trees?

Yes, by definition a guild is more like today\'s unions than anything else. In MMORPGs, however, it\'s become a broader term.
Anyway, the site\'s coming along great, and I\'m taking applicants.

Good luck, hope you find yourself some workers. I would apply myself, but I prefer sticking with Dark Empires which are, you know, like empires...
I am not that good with an axe anyway :P. Killing people is more fun (and might I add profitable) then killing trees, I can do that IRL (if I get an axe or chainsaw).
Bah, I don\'t think an RPG with only stupid merchant guilds and such would be fun ^^, why recreate RL? Play sims or something for that effect :P.

It is odd that it was used in such a context though, I mean usually MMORPG guilds just go around bashing monsters - in my mind thats more of a militia or a band of thugs (depending on pvp ;)). But yeah now its just used to indicate any sub-soceity of gamers in an mmorpg - I mean surely there is better words, I just cant think of any right now.

Yes, I realize this. My teachers decided to assign a bunch of last-minute projects before the school year ended. That+finals=no free time. Summer\'s soon, and it\'ll get done.
