Title: so much i want, please give your thoughts
Post by: felicia on June 04, 2004, 06:54:09 am
1:pvp

pvp should allways be part of the game but to what extent.....death is the ultimate ending and i dont care to much for haveing another player go around and wack low lvl players for fun. i like the idea of lvl restictions of who you can attack. i do say how about loser loses exp and winner gains exp its nice and simple.

2: use of skills

i have and allways will hate the idea of buying armors and weapons from npc\'s i believe that is why we can have blacksmith skills. let players mine there material and creat there own weapons and if they wish, set up a shop to sell them. npc\'s should be there as a way to start quest or maybe to aid in training(certain training rooms or something of the sort)

3: lvl\'ing

why must you go out for hours at a time and hack and slash in order to lvl. why not build places for differt class where they can go to hone there skills, research spells, workout to build strenth, practise shooting there bows to gain accurcy...maybe these rooms could give exp at a lower rate but help you gain skill points to put towards certain aspects of your player.

4: building

how about been able to create a village. you know maybe add 10 or so predetermand types of buildings and say you get 5 people minimum together and you all create your homes(of course it should be sorta expensive) and then you have the start of your town

guys i am sure there is more but i think i crashed my brain just now so please feel free to tell me what you like and dislike about my idea\'s and please forgive my crappy spelling... it is sorta 1am here

Hi
I just have a few things to say on those matters.

1.
It\'s propably (or is depending on your viewpoint or how much the devs listen to the PvP forum)
going to be even stricter than that when CB is released e.g. only being able
the PvP when you challenge someone and they accept.

2.
This will be in CB (how much I don\'t know...), though npcs will still probably sell
equipment.

3.
There will be no levels in PS.  Though still slashing monsters to gain skills.

4.
Probably not an entire village but I think castles were mentioned somewhere (expensive no doubt).

Oh and before someone beats me to it, use the search function before posting :P

Yes a lot of ideas have already been suggested before. Reading about a bit and using the search button could have saved you the bother of crashing your brain ;)

That said, idea number 3 is already implemented in MB, it\'s just the skills that haven\'t been implemented yet so the teacher can\'t teach you anything.

/me pats Zorium on the head and gives him a treat.

Afaik, you will be able to build guild towns, not only houses \\ castles. But that will probebly be in a much later version.

Well as far as what I know, that idea was suggested, commented and killed. If PS will ever have it\'s own Sim City minigame, you\'ll have to wait a year or five. By that time, I\'m positive it will be re-opened, but for now, let\'s just think that it doesn\'t exist.

Oh and by the way. You can\'t say you know anything about a future release. It\'s not possible. Anything can change, you know. ;)

about nr 2:

From what i have made out, i believe that most things will be done by players. NPC will more likely be there to sell your worthless stuff to, and buy some minor equipment. These NPC\'s wont sell any item that is above \"basic\" level to give smiths and others a better position.

I have also read something in a post about hiring NPC\'s to work for you, just dont know if that will be the way in PS.
