Title: resolution
Post by: StarAngel on May 03, 2002, 12:13:36 pm
I seem to have problems running this game and as far as I can figure it out I think it\'s my resolution, I can only handle reolutions up to 800x 600 and I would like there to be an option which allows me to play in 800x600
thank you

yeah

1024*780 is a strange choice indeed

looks like they dont care about performance
its an alpha, it s not optimized yet for sure
graphics not finished
so what high resolution for?

In future we will add a graphical program to change video modes. At this moment you can already do it manually. Go to the PlaneShift installation folder (usually c:\\program files\\planeshift) and edit psclient.cfg

There you can edit the options: Video.ScreenWidth, Video.ScreenHeight, Video.ScreenDepth, and Video.FullScreen

It seems that when i edit the .cfg file it causes the client to crash.  Then, I have to restart the computer, cause Windows won\'t let me start any application (says that there is not enough memory, which has never happened to me before).

The only thing i edited was the resolution, I tried with 800x600 and 600x480, but both of them didn\'t work.  Everytime the client begins to \"Receive the World\" it crashes.  It worked fine with 1024x768 tho,  but my computer cant handle such high resolution.  Have you got any idea of what i could have done wrong?
