hi all,
yes im a total newbie to the game. but not to my pc lol. i cant do much at the moment. everytime i \"unpack\" using the run_me_first.bat when i try to use the PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe i get a NSIS error. and says about a incomplete download, but i used get right to download so i cant see that the problem. please help. i want to get into this game

Please, read the sticky posts, they are there for a reason.
In normal cases, I would suggest you to download my new run_me_first.bat file, but my mainframe (WWW host and such) is down atm.
You could ask somebody to send it to you, or use the md5sum.exe tool manualy

yer, i have tried both already. i cant download the run_be_first thing and the chack thing doesnt work. it loads up then closes really fast so all i see is a blur of black LOL.
i really cant think of anytihng else but any suggestions are appriciated

Most likely it is the problem actually. Download accelerators/mangers are generally notorious for causing problems during a download. Best to download with the built in one in your browser if possible.

basically all you have to do is to put it into the same directory you downloaded the PlaneShift parts in. Then run a command line, change to the directory and execute:
md5sum *.*
The program will output the md5 checksums for all files. Now compare the values to those listed at the bottom of http://www.planeshift.it/download.html. If the value for a file differs from the given one, re-download the part, execute the batch-file again and start the .exe that is created.
