Title: server stuff

MMORPGs are known for having tousands players on each server. I though the same thing for PlaneShif... until I saw a screenshot (i am not in the possibility of downloading the game) showing that the max. number of connections to the ONLY planeshift server is 65.

I hope this will change in CB. WIll it?

And when I see that only 20 clients are loaded, I think \'where are the 100.000+ others???\'

Hope to get answers quick.

there isn\'t that much to be done in MB, so there\'s really no reason to be logged on all day yet, that will definitely change with CB, right now all we\'re doing is testing the engine, and just about all that can be done with that has already been done.

I remind you that MB was very early in development.

Out goals are to add support to CB for atleast 500 clients at the same time.

We have a plan to add cluster support to PS server side which will make the max clients number really high

500 clients? That means that the maximum number of players online at the same time will be 500? Because if it is 500... the 100K accounts will be a problem to handle...

I\'m sure that outside of the initial rush there will be any problems, it\'ll slow down real quick.

Heh, 100K accounts translate to 20 online clients in MB. I don\'t that the activity ratio will be same for CB, but your statement makes little sense.

Clustered support is scheduled for beyond CB, correct?

Anyway, the better the game gets, the more clients there will be and vice-versa.  Can\'t wait to see 100+ people on at once.  It will be awesome.

Actually, the 100K registered people are not playing. I suppose that a majority of players is just waiting for CB  and won\'t play MB. The 20 clients means there are 20 people online. CB will have a great number of players online, not 100K but still more than 500.

How high of a number 5 digits 6?
