I know I keep doing many stories but I said to myself, \"Robert, you are going to finish this story whether you like it or not because you got nothing to do this summer until college starts at the end of August.\" So here\'s my story.
Chapter 1: The Unfailing Love
Gravin was a perfect eighteen year old teenager when seen by others. He had spiked dark brown hair, nicely shaped green eyes, and was six feet tall. Whenever he went anywhere people would look up from the pavement and admire is dark blue coat, blue pants and muscular build and would start greeting him and complimenting him. He would smile and say thank you and lighten up everyone\'s day.
Until he got home; when he did he started to cry and cry all night. He hated the life of luxury his parents gave him. He wanted to be out traveling Yliakum, not be cooked up in some fancy house in Hydlaa. But whenever he looked out his window during the afternoon when the Azure Sun made a great deep rich magenta color in the sky, he would see 17 year old Kora Aron. Kora had hair that reached to her neck and curled up slightly at the end, with the dark brown and gold stripes that were naturally there. She had tinted yellow eyes with a touch of green in the middle. She was about five feet seven inches tall and slim (Since her parents made her work outside so much). Gravin looked at her everyday as he saw her family running their small farm but never really had the guts to tell her how he felt because his parents would never approve of Kora because she\'s from the family of farmers.
So at his own mercy and ego, Gravin decided to go out and tell Kora if they would like to go out...
-
Gravin went downstairs from his room and went out to the small farmhouse next door and there he saw Kora. He was getting nervous but when he got there Kora saw him and gave him a small, \"Hi!\" and smiled to him. Gravin tried to get his words out and he did it. He said hi back to her. Then a conversation broke out.
\"You must Kora Aron...\"
\"Uhh, yes I am...and you must be?\"
\"My name is uhhh....[Oh crap! I\'m so nervous I don\'t even remember my name!][Whew I remembered!]...my name is Gravin, Gravin Lucin.\"
\"Gravin...? That\'s a pretty name.\"
Now Gravin was completely stumped he didn\'t expect the results to be good and then bursted out all his feelings in one long incohesive thought really really fast.
\"Kora! The first time I saw 5 years ago I knew I fell in love with you. I mean your my Azure Sun, with you I have light to guide me in the life through the darkness I\'ve endured, your beauty would even make the most beautiful Demorian cry. You have shown my happiness that no one could ever give me.\" And then there was silence, then all of a sudden she ran up to him and started kissing him in the lips. When that happened Gravin\'s eye\'s opened up and started thinking that this is much better than he thought. So he closed his eyes and started enjoying the moment with the girl he loved but just when he thought everything was going fine, he saw his parents come and started yelling at him.
His parent\'s yelled, \"Gravin how dare you osculate with this trash.\" But when Gravin was about to leave, he whispered in her ear, \"I\'ll see you tonight, meet me at the Kada-El Tavern.\" Kora responded, \"Alright I\'ll see you there,\" and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then they sent their seperated ways.
That night they stayed in their rooms, but later on managed to sneak to the Kada-El Tavern. When they met their they again kissed each other deeply and then went inside holding hands. They both got seats next to the fireplace and just cuddled there. They were both so happy, and for the first time ever Gravin is truly happy. He would give up all the wealth he had for Kora and would die for her but he wasn\'t about to think that yet because he wasn\'t in danger but he\'d just keep it in the back of his mind just incase. Kora on the other hand was wondering why a wealthy person like Gravis would ever see in her. But she didn\'t care, she waited so long to finally call someone her love and she wasn\'t about to let that feeling go. So they just sat their all throughout the night holding each other savoring the feeling of love together.
EDIT: Sorry I keep using the name Gravis instead of Gravin, it\'s okay now.
-
A loud door slam was heard at the Kada-El Tavern. When Gravin turned to see what it was, he saw his parents. His eyes opened big and he saw his parents peering into him then something wierd happened. His parents started too ooze yellow stuff. Gravin was awed by what he was seeing. Then he heard his mother speak in this god awful voice...
\"Gravin Lucin, you dare defy us, you dare defy your own parents?\" Gravin didn\'t say anything because he was too in disgust. So his parents started walking closer and opened their mouths inhumanly large and attached to their tongues was the heads of Kora\'s parents. Kora yelled and started crying, she refused to believe that\'s what happened. Gravin got up and ran up to his half-demonic parents...
\"What the hell is this? Is this some kind of sick joke?\"
\"Gravin this is no joke, next we\'re going to eat the head of your little girlfriend there.\"
\"You aren\'t going to touch her you psychopathic freaks.\"
\"How dare a measely Ylian speaks to us that way,\" said his father.
Gravin pulled out a small dagger and told Kora to stay back. He then went on the offensive on his parents. He started swiping and stabbing but with unsuccessful attempts. His parents counter-attacked with insanely powerful punches, and he was thrown to the floor. Gravin then realized his parents were not Ylian or any race from Yliakum. Gravin quickly grabbed Kora as fast as a he good and made a run for outside. His parents followed. Gravin and Kora were running through the darkness of Hydlaa Plaza and Gravin started praying in words...\"Oh almighty Talad, hear my thoughts, I don\'t know what\'s going on but if you can hear me, please help me out in my time of need.\" Then Gravin looked and found out he hit a dead end, and saw his parents walking up slowly towards them.
\"No place to run Gravin, good it looks like we\'ll be eating good tonite my darling.\"
\"Yes Dear, Gravin and Kora would make excellent meals.\"
Then all of a sudden an enormously powerful white light came down from above, this light was so powerful he saw his parents sizzling and being roasted alive. He saw nothing after that, his parents didn\'t even leave a trail. Gravin then felt Kora on his shoulder crying and knew that she dealt with too much for one night, then he saw a mysterious white light coming towards him...
-
Gravin and Kora looked at the mysterious white light that came closer to them but it was just too bright, they both had to close their eyes. Then finally after a few minutes the bright light turned into a giant six foot Kran.
The Kran spoke to them...
\"I\'m Fogon but your probably already familiar with me though.\"
Gravin released Kora from his grip and walked up slowly to the Fogon. \"Umm sorry, I don\'t recognize you...,\"replied Gravin.
\"Ahh yes but you do. When people say that they can feel or hear Talad, it\'s me. I\'m the voice of Talad, well since Talad is busy with other stuff. You know, he can\'t be everywhere at once.\"
\"Am I supposed to believe you?\"
\"Of course not, but you believe in Talad, your just saying that because your afraid to admit what\'s been going on.\"
Gravin was silent and Kora went up to him.
\"Gravin I think we can trust him, I can feel that he\'s telling the truth.\"
Gravin knew he could trust Kora till the day he died and then told Fogon...
\"Okay, we believe you but can I ask one thing first?\"
\"Sure what is it?\"
\"How come you don\'t have that Kran accent, like for example: Ooww, do joo neeeed hulp?\"
\"I\'m the voice of Talad, do you expect people to understand me talking like that?
\"Oh...\"
\"Anyways I\'ve been sent by Talad to tell you about a journey that you two must go on.\"
\"Uhhh....journey?\"
\"Yes, unfortunately, there\'s a secrety society that wants to wage war against Talad, and its against the laws of the Gods for Talad, any god, or I, to interfere with problems set by mortals. And you two are the purest of heart in Yliakum and were chosen by Talad specfically to deal with this problem. To deny this request would end in a catastrophic consquence for all people in Yliakum.\"
Kora then grabbed Gravin by one his arms with both of her arms and told Gravin, \"We have to do this, even if we do die, at least we\'ll die together.\"
Fogon smiled and told Gravin, \"Gravin you have been the given the gift of luck to have her as your companion.\"
\"I know Fogon, and I\'m damn proud to have recieved it.\"
Fogon snapped his fingers and they appear disappeared out of Hydlaa Plaza and reappeared on top of a tall mountain that overlooked Hydlaa.
\"You two will stay here for the night, I\'ll be seeing you guys when the Azure Sun brightens again, till then, good night you two.\" Fogon then disappeared from the area and left Gravin and Kora alone.
So Gravin and Kora went inside the small house with nothing but a fireplace with fire already burning and two seperate small beds. At least they\'ll have a short nap before the Azure Sun rises again.
-
Fogon appeared instantly in the small house and yelled, \"Gravin, Kora, time to awaken,\" Kora woke up and Gravin was so startled he fell off his bed. Then they both saw a table filled with all kinds of food, half asleep and his eyes barely opened, Gravin whispered, \"Is that for us?\" Fogon smirked, \"Of course it is, you two better eat up, you got a very long day.\"
Twenty minutes passed by...
Gravin and Kora were stuffed. Gravin got up and thanked Fogon for the food. Fogon thanked him and told both of them to follow him outside.
Well outside was a bunch of gear and bags lying around the ground. Fogon went up and told them, \"Gravin, Kora, Talad knows what stuff you like to wear and what kind of weapons you prefer, to the type of food you eat. Here\'s some gear that you guys will start off with. They are by no means the most powerful weapons or armor, but it will help you begin your journey. If you do find better equipment by no means please acquire them.\"
Gravin went up to his little pile of gear. Not incredibly he saw his weapon first which looked like this:

Gravin picked up the small sword, it was a bit heavy but he knew he\'ll get used to it, he then put his sword away in a pretty little leather sheath, then he saw his armor. It was a very light steel vest, with no sleeves. It came with no helmet or gauntlets, but at least it came with also very light steel leg platings plus a pair of rare spider silk alloy shoes. He then opened his bag and there was the basic items, food, water, pair of extra clothing, a few basic potions against everyday status effects and a small fighting knife incase his big weapon was lost.
Kora also saw here gear, but was most noticed by her weapon which looked like this:
A beautiful but deadly looking dagger. She picked it up and started giving a few swings, it was moderately weighed correctly for her. She then saw her armour, it was a bronze vest without sleeves, which came with no helmet or gauntlets. She didn\'t really have bronze legging armor. Her bronze legging armour only went down to the middle of her of her hamstrings. But she was given bronze knee pads and bronze elbow pads, to make up for the lack of leg and arm protection. But then she saw a pair of rare spider silk alloy shoes, she was amazed, spider silk alloy is one of the rarest materials in Yliakum. And her gear was also filled with the same items as Gravin.
So they both packed everything and were ready to go. Fogon wanted to give them a gift before they went.
He went up to Gravin and gave him a small gold sealed vase. He then whispered to Gravin, \"Only use this when your ready.\" He then went to Kora and gave her a small necklace with a diamond on it. He said to her, \"When in trouble the spirit inside this gemstone will aide you, but first you\'ll have to gain its trust.\"
Fogon said his final words to them, \"You two are the last hope for Yliakum, don\'t ever look back to these horrible times, look to the future, where the Azure Sun glows, it\'ll guide you always to the path that your fate chooses, good luck.\" Fogon ascended up into the sky and disppeared. Gravin and Kora took one last look at Hyldaa together, then without anymore worries, they left, never to look back.
-
Gravin and Kora finally got to the final borders of the Hydlaa Region and are entering the vast wilderness of Yliakum. Gravin pulled out the map from his backpack. He opened it up and it showed him his exact location. The first region next outside Hydlaa had no name it just read desert.
\"Well Kora, looks like were moving on past this desert place.\"
\"Well ya, we have no choice,\" replied Kora in an agitated voice.
So they both continued through the hot desert. Even though it was scorching hot, they saw lots of different plant life not native to Hydlaa. And a few little animals roaming around. Then they heard a small roar, they looked around to see what it was but then Gravin looked down and saw an odd looking animal gazing at him. It then jumped and pushed over Gravin down.
\"Crap, that thing hits hard,\" said Gravin in an amazed voice.
Kora went to Gravin and helped him up.
\"Thanks.\"
\"Don\'t worry, lets just take this thing out. Before it gets us first.\"
\"Your right, lets kill this piece of biological junk.\"
Gravin pulled his sword out of his sheath and Kora took her dagger out. Unfortunately both don\'t have any combat experience so really they\'re doing everything by instinct.
\"Uhh...okay Kora you stay behind this thing, I\'ll attack it from the front.\"
\"Got it.\"
Gravin got his sword and swinged at the monster but it jumped dodged his attack and he missed and as he missed he had a flashback, he remembered he saw the monster somewhere in a book, it was a Trepor!
The Trepor got behind Kora this time.
\"Kora behind you!\"
The Trepor cut Kora\'s upper leg and she fell to the ground. The Trepor went about 10 feet away from Kora then turned around and was going to headbutt her. Gravin luckily got infront of Kora in time and the Trepor hit Gravin on his steel vest on the chest. Gravin flew back but he wasn\'t hurt bad. The Trepor must\'ve tried to hit Kora to hard because it started to look disoriented and walking in circles after hitting Gravin\'s steel vest.
Kora was able to get up but she wasn\'t able to fight. But Gravin got up and saw the dizzy Trepor, he ran up and tried to slice the Trepor, but he missed the head instead he hit its big bulgy area.
\"Damnit, its stuck.\"
Gravin\'s sword was stuck in the Trepor\'s body. Gravin tried to pull out the sword but couldn\'t because the sword was not only lodged in its body but the Trepor was moving violently. Kora tried sprinting with her wounded leg.
\"Gravin, try to hold to it there, don\'t let it move.\"
Kora sprinted up to the Trepor and used her arms and grabbed the Trepor its neck. Kora then started stabbing it multiple times.
\"Okay Kora that\'s enough! I think it\'s dead.\" When Gravin looked at her to say that he saw Kora\'s tinted yellow eyes were turning into a deep red color. Gravin pulled out his sword and didn\'t say anything. Kora looked at Gravin and she started to cry.
\"It\'s okay Kora, don\'t worry, it\'s okay now.\"
The Azure sun started to lose its energy which meant night was coming, and the sky and a rich purple crimson color, so they decided to camp there for the night. Gravin didn\'t know exactly what happened except his first fight was tough and he knew he really needed more experience in combat.
-
Then they all died. The End.
-
*Claps wldly* A wonderful ending! That was definitely the best part!
-
thank you I pride in my dramaticendings.
-
First off let me say KORA IS A PSYCHO! And secondly that was a great little short story you have there, I demand more!
-
Maybe I\'ll add more \"real story\" later.
-
Yeah, although it was no Stephen King I easily get attached to stories and was a little dissapointed that you left me to boredom by taking away a source of reading.
Shame on your lack of will and confidence, shame! Shame!
-
actually some people would\'ve expected this, it happens to all the stories I\'ve made before. Remember the Battle of Yliakum with Einsitein the Kran, and Donovan against his parents?
-
No.
I haven\'t read your other stories.
