this morning in PS i got some pretty bad news That the Great Lord Draklar is leaving PS his reasoning is that the PS community has gone down hill and that it is not worth Staying anymore
and that is putting nicely
I for one will miss Lord Draklar his presents will be missed
A moment of silence for the Great lord Draklar plz .............
And if you say anything Bad about Lord Draklar your on my hit list X( To many of our friends are leaving PS this has to stop
lord draklar if you see this we will miss you plz reconsider your actions you are and always will be one of the best

Mind your tongue Altharion! You are not so high and mighty to make such judgements! If he leaves for those reasons so be it, his choice and I respect him for whatever choice he makes! If he decides to come back right away I will not flame him for this I will welcome a old member of our community back with open arms as you should all do! Its sad how quick you are on the draw to say something bad when it comes to Draklar! Although we fend for different sides, he is one hell of a guy still who can RP better then half of this community put together! You ramble about him being a flamer? What the hell do you think your doing when calling him a flamer!!?

He might have been good ingame, but not on the forums... starting arguments every chance he got... and he complained that all the threads were full of spam.

I will not have you categorize our people in such a harsh manner. I am Ynnwn but I would not compare myself to the cannibalistic Ynnwns you seem to glorify.

It is because of people like Altharion that Draklar leaves, it\'s because most people don\'t care at all about the others, like it should happen in a good working community.
I understand why he leaves and can\'t blame him for leaving.

draklars main problem is the fact according to him there is no way to rp an evil char on planeshifts future versions....i beg to differ on this clame but then i suppose im not lawfull evil...
anywho the community issue is not his main concern if that helps you harvey

If he didn\'t start flame wars on these forums so much then it wouldn\'t be so bad. I hope I\'m not the only person who has noticed the peace here since he hasn\'t been around that much. As for ingame community, well, I can\'t really say, as I don\'t spend that much time there.
Edit: lol, I just asked around ingame, and nobody knows anything about him leaving. :)

The reasons stated by Harvey are the ones that forced me to almsot leave. I was almost out of the game, then Bora talked me in to staying at least \'til CB...
Draklar, listen to this or someone go in-game and tell him this. We waited so damn long for CB, that no one should be allowed to leave until we get our greasy little paws(at least mine :P) on CB!!! Or...
He could be like that one guy and not talk to anyone. That Ynnwwn: anyone remember his name? The one that only hunted xtals and never spoke. Just step away from the community. I pretty much did. I practically talk to myself now. :rolleyes:

Yes, I will miss Draklar if he manages to stay away. He\'s like the crap in your room you get attached to. It would be so much better without it, but it\'s become part of the scenery. There would be something missing without it.

i dont see how it will become hard to rp an evil character in future releases, he could just change his allignment or make an alias

bleh, anyway, first of all yes, I\'m different ingame and on forums... this comes from the simple fact that I tend to return the way people are behaving. So since people ingame respect others and are friendly, I\'ll be like that towards them... and since people here are the biggest scum I have ever known... well flame away :P
Now Sep... you are wrong, Harv is right. Even if PS doesn\'t support evil, I still could rp Templar ;)
Actually I didn\'t come ingame for weeks now, and just yesterday I jumped in to give away my items and finally delete the client...
So Bora got my claymore (at least this I could do for the b-day present :P)
Kwartz got a small double axe and some crystals
Xalthar got a longsword (I\'ll kill you if you give it away to AO ;))
And again, if anyone EVER sees Dagger, please tell her that I really appreciate and thank her for the support she gave me when I was a newb... thanks.

but I see one of reasons for that wasn\'t said here. Well I really hope to join rl knight brotherhood and don\'t think I\'ll have time and will to play any games anyway... well certainly not the ones where I hate community ;)
oh yea, my arguments and flames towards cabal... well I always followed certain song:

Most excellent point. One of the biggest, if not the biggest, reason oldbies seem to be leaving is that oldbies seem to be leaving. Quite a stupid process.

I generally have a policy on not replying to leaving threads but ill break it this once;
As you have been one of the most active and generally fun guys on PS its needless to say we are going to miss you. Your fanfics were hilarious and i hope they go down in PS history. I feel confident to say noone ever truelly hated you drak, and things wont be the same without you, Ill keep your stuff to oneside for if you ever decide to return and good luck in whatever you do. =)

I didn\'t have time to read all the posts, but I could\'ve seen Draklar treated ... like me. Missunderstood ... treated like a junk by some.
What could I say. I hated him, but believe it or not I also admired him. I still consider him a great man who knows how to behave with others ... though each of us makes mistakes, we\'re human, no one is perfect.
Well, soon you\'ll see a post of mine kinda similar with this, heh.
So, Drak, Farewell my friend and even if you\'ll always see me like an idiot, make that a good idiot ... because I am on the good side. I don\'t regret any word told to you, but they put me on deep thoughts, anyway each moment with you was DAMN FUN!

The difference is, that nobody cares if a newbie leaves. But if an oldbie leaves, then were in a \'the worlds gonna end, everyone is crying, there\'s no point in living\' situation. :rolleyes:

I agree that it is fun to reminisce about the \'old days\' when PS was brand new and remember the people who used to post then. Obviously as a mod I disagree that we mods do a crappy job modding these forums. :-)
My theory on why the old guard aren\'t around as much is because from their standpoint everything that can be said has been said. Every wish list item has been debated ad nauseam. Every n00b question has been answered 100 times. Even Kada gets impatient with them now.
CB\'s release will definitely bring a new flood of newbies and morons to these forums, but it will also bring new things for us all to talk about. And from that, some of the new people will prove themselves and be accepted by the happy few who have stuck around all this time.
But it is important to realize that the \"community\" is definitely a fluid, changing thing. Holding on to the past because of its familiarity, and criticizing the present because of its lack of familiarity is not a recipe for satisfaction on a forum or in life.
As a long time dev, I am very glad that some people have stuck with us (even off and on) this long. Seeing their hopes from 2 years ago fulfilled now instead of watching their hopes dashed like the dust from 1000 dead vapor free projects that disappeared 2 months later gives me a lot of satisfaction. I appreciate all the new people who find us--it isn\'t their fault they didn\'t find us in 2001 or 2002--but I appreciate the oldbies as well.

Sometimes this guy has a good point. I have been around this board a lot longer than most would guess. I\'ve been reading this stuff for awhile now.
If you want to leave, leave! If you got something to say, stay! It\'s pretty much as simple as that.

Im getting the impression people are talking each other into believing the community is going downhill. Everything always seems better in the past then it was. And until now i like this community and have not seen reason not to.
