First off, I\'m talking about the illusionary part of Blue Way magic, not the water magic part, since it\'s a bit more explanatory than the illusion part.
Illusion Magic is under the blue way, okay we know that. I think Night Vision should be considered as the lowest form of Blue Way magic. So therefore all races that have nightvision as default should be considered as having access to the lowest form of blue way magic but already learned. But the other races can learn it also but they don\'t get it for free they have to learn it or get the reagents or whatever first.
Example: A Nolthrir has nightvision already unlocked so therefore when he checks his blue way magic, it shows already that, that blue way magic has already been learned. But if you check a Ylian and his blue way spells, nightvision has already been unlocked.
Also I think the strength Blue Way magic should also greatly depend on intelligence, since Illusionary magic uses the mind a lot.
Here\'s a short list of what can be under Blue Way magic:
Nightvision - we already know this; see in the dark.
Thermal Vision - Someone who can pinpoint heat signatures and can see someone or a monster easily whereas nightvision only allows you too see in the dark nothing more.
Shapeshift - The player can turn into the same monster that he is fighting. But other commands are locked except for the attacks that is gained from becoming the monster.
Single Thought Mind Reading - The player can determine monster\'s HP/MP.
Complete Thought Mind Reading - The player can determine monster\'s HP/MP, elemental weakness (if any), and what items it carries.
Mind Control - The player can control the monster for the duration of the battle plus obtain the same effects of a Complete Thought Mind Reading.
Elemental Lock - The player can choose someone or himself and they will gain temporary resistance too all elemental based attacks but will become significantly weaker to physical attacks.
Some ideas, ya like always comments or other blue way spell ideas (Illusionary Magic Part) please post.

My personal opinion is that Nightvision, thermalvision, and the like should be considered natural abilities, not magics. I will be avoiding magic when at all possible, and im an Enki wich would give me nightvision.

You know none of these spells is a real Illusion spell, don\'t you? ;)
Illusion means false front, mirage...
If you would cast a spell on a foe which make a foe THINK he is surrounded by darkness, this would be illusion magic. An other foe who stands next to and wasn\'t affected by this spell wouldn\'t notice anything, because the darkness is not real in that case.
mind control and mind reading would be mind manipulating spells.
Shapeshifting an illusion spell?? The way you describe it you would really turn into a monster and gain the attack bonuses... that isn\'t illusion, thats real. If you would only look like the monster it would be illusion.
(these are my personal thoughts and NOT an official statemant, only wanted to clarify you about some theoretical mistakes you had in your thoughts.)

*Pushes Nanaki\'s post down a bit*
First of all, I\'d like to show you something.
Skill name=\"Azure Way\"
Class=\"Magic\"
Focus: Mind, Illusions and Air Element.
Mental stat: Will
Description: It\'s basically a sneaky and insidious energy, that can control the will, the perceptions and the intentions of any intelligent being.
It\'s power comes from the deep knowledge of the mind and the way to influence it, but it relies also on mind potentials to influence the surronding areas and objects, mainly all that is related to the air element.
I don\'t see which part of that goes under the Blue Way.
The Blue Way, on the other hand, looks like this.
Skill name=\"Blue Way\"
Class=\"Magic\"
Focus: Divination, Purification, Water Element
Mental stat: Intelligence
Description: Many diseases and poisons will be incurable without the help of the spells of this Way. The offensive and defensive potential of this art, resides mainly on the control of the water element, but also of cold and ice that are strictly related to it.
Equally inestimable are the divination spells that can provide very useful informations on the past, present and future.
And like Nanaki said, none of the spells suggested are Illusion spells. Illusion spells will never give any physical malus/bonus. It\'ll cause fear, morale boost, etc. but it will never be able to hurt your opponent or help you in any other way than that. :)

If these things were magic, how do you explain the fact that they are \"always on\" and not drain mana? This would not be possible unless a spell that is known _really_ well stops using mana. Somewhat like ShadowFlare, but in this game it stopped at 1 mana per use, so PS would need to go down to zero to have these abilities be magic. Still, I don\'t really like this idea, because these features are perfectly possible without magic (night vision and thermal vision at least). I however feel that magic of this sort would be developed by others to get these abilities as well, so they should be available as spells, even if you already possess the ability naturally. Maybe it\'ll improve your natural ability if you use the spell as well, however.
