- Prevented the user to select non-implemented races/genders
They would probably only put this in if there was a race left out. :(
-
You know I thought the same thing when I saw that...but as long as they have the male Nolthrir in CB all will be good.
-
i heard somewhere that klyros won\'t be availble yet (i wanted to use that race :s) but i also heard that there will be an update that gets the models in right after the release :p dunno if its true tough i only read it on the forum some time ago
-
I expect there to be only the races that already are in MB, because they only talked about \"migration of meodels\", not about \"creation of models\".
They also talked about updates containing new content, so new races will probably come in later.
I just hope that, maybe except for races and skills, you can still add the new stuff to your chars as they come out, like tattoos, without having to create a new char. Also, I wish for a system of deleting valid accounts if there is no such possibility.
-
Well they could have you make 1 acount then you can make another ones from it for example
Main Acount name: Watcher
Lesser acount names (can be deleted by your self): -Insert name here-
This would stop lots of smurfs and it would help spys infultrate guilds so its a good idea all around but the lesser acounts would basicly be new chars.
-
We\'ve already been old like 10000000000 times that not all races will be implimented. Cb contains the basics of everything, so I\'ll be suprised if any races which arn\'t in mb will be in cb.
Edit: hehe, just looking through the source code. :) Some interesting stuff in here, (if you\'re in to the technical stuff anyway) ;)

What they left out the Latinos again? Damn this society giving them a hard time! Damn it all to hell!!
-
Dang it. I was going to be a half-halfling half-dragon half-latino. Damned if I know where the other half came from ^_^
I guess I could go to starbucks and confuse the poor highschool dropout (whose number of piercings > his IQ) by ordering a half-caf. half-decaf half-half-and-half half-klyros. They would probably kick me out and never let me come back. which is a crying shame, since I can get the wireless signal better from inside than outside ;) That would at least amuse me until CB is released.

I don\'t see how this would be helping spies (or other chars) do anything. It would help moderators in finding ppl. who give stuff of their chars to their other chars, until they find out they just need to create separate accounts. :)
-
It would keep people who want/need to have separate accounts for a good reason (f. i. guild infiltration) from having to make another account... and if the spy is found out, the account can be deleted, freeing up the name for another player. Now, people who are doing what you said, Seytra, could probably be found out by ip if necessary. There should be some sort of thing to turn people away from making many separate accounts, such as when you create a new account you have to go through a \"newbie training\" map, but you can skip that when you create a sub-account.
Bah, I am just rambling on, aren\'t I?

Um, you do know that each account can have upto four characters don\'t you?
-
Um. No I did not. Where was that tidbit of knowledge released into the wild?

When I compiled the CVS. ;)
-
Ah. I wish I could... but my machine is amd64 and stuff is not working very well on it...
but then:

Does this mean that you hae been able to compile the code on x86_64? Or that you have multiple computers?

I\'ve compiled it successfuly on Windows Xp (32-bit), and I\'m having some success compiling CS on my 64-bit OS.
-
64-bit OS being Windows 64bit or linux? I guess I\'l find out what you mean soon enough. (my computer\'s wireless card (I know, a wireless card in a desktop machine) has drivers that are partially closed-source, so they don\'t work on 64-bit linux. Long live gentoo!)
Good luck!

64-bit as in X86_64 Linux ;)
