Simple question: will I be able to build CB targeting x86_64?

You can download the source and try it. Are there opengl drivers for x86_64 ? Maybe you can simply run it in 32bit mode.

I am also kind of interested in this, since I just built an AMD64 system... but I\'ve decided that I\'m going to install gentoo to take advantage of the 32 bit features and later make a partition that\'s purely 64bit.

just my $0.02... make that $2.00 (durn inflation)

I\'ve tried it already on SUSE 9.1 X86_64 and it failed miserably. I\'ll try again maybe later and fix any bugs I find. I also get somewhere around 10000 warnings about how the code isn\'t 64-bit optimised. Might take me a while to sort it out.

Nvidia has drivers for x86_64.

As soon as they release CB I\'ll try building it. No sense even attempting it right now since there\'s no server I can try it on.

The server is in CVS.

There\'s probably a lot of things that have to be cleaned up in CS before it compiles cleanly on a 64-bit system.  Don\'t know if PS will have as many problems, but it wouldn\'t be unreasonable to suspect so (although there\'s probably less low-level jiggery-pokery)
