Hello ppl!
I\'ve just registered in this Forum and I just wish someone could explain me the basics of Planeshift...
I read about this MMORPG in a game\'s magazine and I thought it would be gr8t.
What should I do to play it?
I have to download something, haven\'t I?
I never played this kind of games (MMORPG) and I feel a little lost...
Any help would be nice.

If you could, post a scan of the article you saw about planeshift, just so we can add it to the (currently nonexistent) planeshift archives...
http://www.planeshift.it/download.html is where you download the current release, Molecular Blue. Be warned, there isn\'t much to do at the moment, aside from running around and picking up crystals, buying decorative weapons (no combat yet), joining a guild, ad making friends. I advise, since it is such a big download, to wait until the next release.

it\'s the same final product, but the other one you have to assemble from 5 parts, and that is too complecated for some people. Not sure who has the better bandwidth.
As Jose pointed out, there will be a ew version soon, but if you have a good connection you might as well go for it. We\'d like to see all the good new people that we can. :)

If I recall, Planeshift is hosted by fragnetics o_O
Although it is possible to download from a sourceforge mirror as well (I think there\'s an \"Alternate Download\" link below the main download link.) and those generally get good bandwidth (or at least one of the mirrors does).

Well... I want to download the game now, but I don\'t know if I should wait or not for the next version... This version is very limited?
I thought that Planeshift was a game with more \"things\" to do besides what josephoenix said.
I can\'t wait to try the game... the pics are amazing. :-)
The game\'s magazine that I read is a portuguese one which name is BGamer and it had a small article about Planeshift, saying that is a very good option for anyone who wanted to play a MMORPG, by many reasons (like beeing free and other things).
Just tell me: What is the difference between dowloading from planeshift.it the 5 parts and dowloading from fragnetics?
In the fragenetics download you have all the 5 parts together?

Hey Fenix, and welcome to Planeshift :)
As for the current version, it really depends on you. If you have a connection faster than a modem, it probobly is no problem to just download the game (only 100MB or so).
Like josephoenix mentioned, the current version is fairly limited (Planeshift is currently in a pre-alpha stage). In addition to what he mentioned, there is also two quests that can be done through the NPCs.
So if you have a fast internet connection, you might as well check it out, doesn\'t hurt to explore a bit and meet some people in the game :) If you have a modem, probobly best to wait, since you will have to redownload the new version that is coming out \"soon\" (basically once the devs have finished the internal testing of the new server and iron out the major bugs). That version will have quite a bit more features and seem more like an actual game.

I have to download this 2 or choose just one of them?
