Title: Justice System.

I don\'t know if anyone has suggested this but I tihnk it\'d be uber cool to have A justice systems with officers and the such. High ranking players could take on the role of officers and look after things around the world. Say if a party is killing mobs and some a-hole comes and keeps picking up their loot but they can\'t kill him cause he has to except first. they can report this guy to the officers. Of course they\'d have to catch him in the act and once done they can attack him witohut his consent and take him to a jail wear he\'ll have to pay a fine to get out or do time. A Justice System would also allow the opportunity to have PvP thievery and make it fair. A thief could attempt to steal an item from a player. If unsuccesful the player catches the thief and has the right to fight the thief without consent. If the thief is sucessful and gets away the player can report the thievery to the officers and they could catch the thief retrieve the item and take the thief to jail. So thieves can\'t go aorund stealign a bunch of items they\'d only be able to steal from a player once every 6 hours do to the fact taht they have to lay low (and they can\'t logoff and wait for the time to pass they have to play for the time to go by. The time limit would merely pause if they logged off) Once a thievery was reported the officers the thieves name would be added to their list and if they got and defeated him in battle he\'d be taken to jail.

I know it sounds crazy and prob would work but hey I can dream can\'t I? If anyone can add or change anytihng that\'d be cool.

This is such a cool idea.. but i think instead of players have dedicated people that would rather do this than play.. and give them dragons that they can fly on for easy access around the citys.. lol

i volentier..

Well if people wanted to become Officers they\'d have to meet stat requirements and supply an application with some othe rplayers acknowledging you are a worthy person. And then the Devs could review the application and then they could decide wether you can be an officer or not. Then your class would be changed to Officer and you\'d get benifits and powers others can\'t have. \"But with great power comes great responsibilty.\" -Ben Parker of Spiderman.
If any officer is reported abusing their powers or not doing their duties then they will be suspended from the force. Of course if there are going to be officers their should be badguys. So pvp theiving would have to coincide with it. And pvp theiving could work with the right balancing. If a thief isn\'t caught well he gets away with that item and the officers failed there duty and don\'t get paid or something. This will motivate officers to work hard to catch thieves. This system would also be well accompanied with no names overhead. but still show up in the chat window and if you examine the person (And it should be hard to examine a thief running far off). I wouldn\'t expect sometihng like this in a long time but it would most def be a cool feature unique to a MMORPG (As far as I can tell)

would be a good idea and would be best while mixing wit pvp, if you pk someone you should be a ward. and clan leaders would be kind of suspects to alot of things heh

Yeah it\'d be very cool. This would connect to a prison system as well. Sentances would be served based on the PS in game time (Which is very fast now) so lets say thieving is a month that\'d actually not be so long. And it\'d teahc the thieves not to get caught next time around. ANd also you could pay a fine to get out instantly (This would be unfortanate for the poor) or heaven forbid they could escape if they had could stealth skills to get around NPC guards during Lunch hour and steal the keys and get out. But being caught would result in more prison time. And if in prison there should be some minigames that convicts play such as fighting eachother, exercising, etc.

yeah and in the prison therre could be a monsster called bubba that says \"cmere and give some to big daddy!\" and \"drop those or your dead!\" lol

ltic (laughed til i cried) how about smuggle the cigaret? the other mini game and the only way to immunize yourself from bubba is to make \"prison wine\"

Haha I doubt anytihng like that could happen. but in prison you could have \"Pipe Weed\" and A delirum Inducing drug \"Novatisium or Nova\" and you could barter these things for small shanks and shivs to take out guards for your escape. Hmmm it\'d def add to the whole crime ascpect of PS. we need a sense of good and evil or else it\'ll suck.

we need a sense of good and evil and a sense of humour... why not have Npc Beggers and pick pockiters or something like that...

good and evil yes im going to be evil cause it is fun :) but fun hmm mabye not beggers how about spoofs of stuff like you go to a beach and that girl with the dog biting her but is there :)

yes i think small touches like that would make ps stand out... all the other rpgs are to formal we need to break out of the mould and be original...

id like to see a civilised level introduced.. if a player is miss behaving they will get a -# in the players description..

Name Civilised level = -9 Would meen they have been very bad.. -10 means they will be banned.. 0 is done nothing wrong...  

(no + levels because then it will never end)

-5+ will prevent them from joining guilds or clans..

and only staffers/dev/admin/(officers if introduced) can give the warnings out.. or remove a warning if its seen they were given it unfairly..

(so there would need to be a log system to logg the warnings..)

I tihnk you should take that idea and...................you probably thought I was gonna say \"Shove it!\" but no I say change it to a good and evil type thing. All newbies woul dbe 0 or neutral. and - numbers being evil people (The more evil deed you do the more evil you become) and + numbers for good (more heroic ded blah blah blah). these could all be decided by quest. Find a thief in a cave hiding from the authorities. You can help him out and get him out of there and get evil points or report him to the police and get good points. And also certain guilds could require a certain level of good or evil points for you to get in. they don\'t want any peole joinging and then going good. And also make it so evil can fight good without permission but neautral can\'t be touched they have to be asked permission. And you can stay neutral (people might want to do this so that people can\'t walk up and kill them. Oh and good can fight amongst themselves but have to ask permission same with evil.) by not doing evil or hero quest but do neutral quests like recoviering an item for someone. Vanquishing a monster that is plaguing the poeple would be considered heroic. And there would be know PKing in the open public as officers would see you and fine you for public violence although this wouldn\'t affect your rating if it\'s a good fighting evil. Hmm Alot to take in but i tihnk it\'d be an excellent system and solve the problem with everyone complainging about Good guys not being able to kill the bad guys cause they have to ask permission. And then with this system, you don\'t have to worry about anyone hauling off and killing newbs or roleplayers. Whats you tihnk?

it goes back to some of the ideas allready placed on the pk board..

the problem with pkers is that they will kill and kill and they wont complain... but as soon as they die... then they start to complain.. \"ive lost my eq\" \"he cheated\" and the rest of them.. there is also the risk that a very well skilled alt will attack a weeker one... with an okay sword.. and then towards the end of the fight switch to an extrememly stronger one.. owning the other player.. so maybe instead of good and evil just have stronger pk rules such as you cant change amour/weapon during a fight or use the /spawn function..

makes sense. You shouldnt be able to switch weapons or spawn during any battle. I mean if a an orc is coming at you with an axe do you really have time to sheathe your sword and buckle your shield to take out your axe?

to many people would cheat by going into a fight and when there about to die they spawn.. it recks the hole concept of PvP..

thats why there shouldn\'t be spawning during combat. Final fantasy XI only lets you logout after 30 seconds and you can\'t do anytihng during that wait and if someone hits you it interupts and starts you over. This was to prevent people from leaving without people notcing. i tihnk a similar system should be implemented into PLaneshift.

make it 5-7 seconds for them people who arnt supposed to be on the pc and their parents get home :D
