It is taking a long time for me to download this game. I have a T1 connection. Why is this?
-
Possibly because there are other, more heavily loaded connections between you and the server you are downloading from. If the files are being served by a SourceForge mirror, they can get slow sometimes. If it\'s too painfully slow, try other mirrors. That said, I think it\'s a > 100MB download, so it could take awhile.

Now my computer wont take the download because of the .part1 in the download file pvso.2.010.part1 on the planeshift homepage. What can i do?
-
Do you mean it won\'t *download* or it won\'t *open*? You shouldn\'t try to open it; just save all 5 parts in one folder along with the assembler batch file, then run the .bat and it should all come together.
If you have some software that prevents download of .part1, .part2 etc, then you\'ll have to disable it temporarily.

I got it! Thank you for your kindness!

Holy Moly You Got T1!!!!!!!!
how much do you pay for that????
(and keep in mind even if you have T1 if the server can only give you 4 kbs then ur gonna get 4 kbs)
EDIT and also if you \"ask\" for too much at time the server will get confused if it can\'t keep up and lag

Wow! A T1! I\'m envious :P
I would have a T1 but I can\'t convince my parents :P
I often have similar experiences with bittorrent, there are alot of people downloading from 56k and slow cable connections and my 1337 3 megabit downstream connection outstrips thier upstream speed... so bittorrent ain\'t the greatest download medium for me, but I\'m sure other people like to have someone with a fast connection seeding so I do a service to the masses since it doesn\'t cost me extra for bandwidth :)
